  • Hotel Route Inn Mooka
  • I'm going to a Mashiko-yaki and Kasama-yaki event. Are there any cheap lodgings you'd recommend in the area?

I'm planning to go to Ibaraki Prefecture and Tochigi Prefecture in the fall to visit pottery-producing areas. I'm planning to go to Mashiko and Kasama, but I haven't decided which order to go to first. Where should I stay? I'm looking for a place to stay for under 6,000 yen a night.

Hotel Route Inn Mooka

2-34-5, Nagata, Mooka-city

  • I recommend this place

  • I recommend "Hotel Route Inn Moka." It's a short drive from Moka Station on the Moka Railway. It's also within driving distance of JR Ishibashi Station by taxi or car. With good access to both, it's a good base to visit Mashiko Pottery and Kasama Pottery events. The hotel itself is clean and easy to use, and it has a large public bath, so it's very convenient.

  • I recommend staying in Moka, which is located almost halfway between the two cities.

  • Previously, I looked for accommodations in the area to experience making Mashiko pottery. However, there were few hotels in Mashiko or Kasama that cost less than 6,000 yen. So I thought I'd stay in Moka, which is almost halfway between the two. It may depend on whether you travel by car or train, but the Hotel Route Inn Moka was comfortable, with a large public bath and breakfast included. The price was also reasonable.
