  • Hotel Saginoyu
  • My wife and I would like to know where we can find a good sake brewery in hot spring near Kanto region. [Budget: 50,000 yen for a two-day, one-night trip]

I live in Tokyo. I would like to do some tasting and tours at a sake brewery, so please recommend a hot hot spring is within 3 hours of Tokyo. If possible, I would be happy if I could order the sake at the inn. Any season is fine. Preferably somewhere around Gunma or Nagano.

Hotel Saginoyu

3-2-14 Kogan-dori, Suwa-shi

  • You can easily tour the sake breweries here

  • I recommend Hotel Saginoyu in Kami-Suwa Onsen, Shinshu. This hotel offers a plan for touring sake breweries. I personally enjoy walking around, but being able to efficiently visit sake breweries within a plan is also a great attraction. The location in front of Lake Suwa means the scenery is beautiful. The hot springs are also very comfortable. This is a recommended hotel.

Ryokan Kamisuwa Onsen Shinyu

2-6-30 Kogandori,Suwa-city

  • Touring sake breweries along the Koshu Kaido

  • How about taking a tour of the five sake breweries along the Koshu Kaido? It's easy to get to from Kami-Suwa Station. The Gokuraku Sake Brewery Tour ticket is available all year round and is a good deal. For a place to stay, I recommend Kami-Suwa Onsen Shinyu. They have a wide selection of local Shinshu sake. The hot springs are also enjoyable, with fully tiled baths and tatami baths.

  • We recommend Shirahone Onsen in Shinshu

  • How about visiting Shirahone Onsen in Matsumoto, Shinshu? A recommended Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a hot spring is "Awanoyu Ryokan (Japanese inn)." The attraction here is the large open-air bath. It is built in the middle of nature and has a great atmosphere. It is Mixed-Gender Hot Springs bath with a deep milky white water.

Dormy Inn Nagano Zenkounoyu Natural Hot Spring

1373-1 Kitaishidoucho, Minaminagano, Nagano City

  • The natural hot spring water is of good quality and is easily accessible.

  • This hotel is just a short walk from Nagano Station, and there is a convenience store nearby so you can easily buy snacks, and there is a specialty sake store in the shopping district so you can compare authentic Japanese sake. Miso is also sold there and the detailed explanations make it easy to choose. The rooms are simple business hotels so the prices are reasonable and you can soak in the hot spring baths.

Hotel Beniya

2-7-21 Kogan-dori, Suwa-shi

  • There is a large public bath with a panoramic view of Lake Suwa.

  • If you're in Nagano Prefecture, how about Hotel Beniya, located on the shores of Lake Suwa? Nagano Prefecture is an area with many sake breweries. At this hotel, you can drink a selection of local sake. The hot spring observation bath has a lake view and offers a great view of the majestic scenery of Shinshu.

Iwashita Onsen Ryokan

1053 Kamiiwashita, Yamanashi-shi

  • Enjoy the hot springs associated with Lord Shingen

  • The hot spring bath, which is associated with Lord Shingen, can be reserved for a limited time of 40 minutes.Yamanashi City's only sake brewery, Yoro Sake Brewery, is also nearby, and they hold events where you can enjoy sake, such as a winter-only brewery tour, sake tastings all year round, and events at the attached cafe, "Sakagura Kai."
