  • KAMENOI HOTEL TONDABAYASHI
  • family and I are going on a trip to Osaka to see ancient tombs and historical sites. Are there any accommodations in the Fujiidera area that are easy to get to?

During my child's spring break, we are planning a family trip to Osaka to visit ancient tombs and historical sites. Please let me know of a place to stay for family that costs less than 10,000 yen One person for two nights and nights, and that is easy to get to Fujiidera.

KAMENOI HOTEL TONDABAYASHI

880-1 Ryusen, Tondabayashi

  • A lodging on the summit of Mt. Takeyama where you can enjoy Breathtaking view morning and evening views of Settsugawasen with Mt. Kongo in the background.

  • It takes about 30 minutes by train from Tennoji (Abenobashi) on the semi-express line, but Fujiidera is halfway between Tennoji and Tondabayashi. A 20-minute shuttle bus ride from Tondabayashi Station will take you to this inn at the top of Mt. Takeyama! The rooms were spacious and clean, and the view from the rooms was great. Depending on the plan, they also offer crab or beef shabu Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot).

Miyako City Osaka Tennoji

1-2-8, Matsusaki-cho, Abeno-ku

  • The hotel is directly connected to the station, so it's fine even in the rain.

  • If you are heading towards Fujiidera and plan to use the Kintetsu line, this is probably the most convenient option. You can take an elevator to the underground ticket gate floor, so you don't have to worry about getting wet in the rain. If you come by car, there is a large parking lot shared with the Kintetsu Department Store and Abeno Harukas, where guests can park at a discounted rate. There is also good access to the JR, subway, and Hankai Tramway lines in the direction of southern Osaka, so it is easy to get to the area around Emperor Nintoku's tomb in Sakai City.

Super Hotel Osaka Tennoji

2-3-3, Osaka, Tennoji-ku

  • The accommodation fee is cheap, but breakfast and natural hot springs are included.

  • Super Hotel is a major hotel chain with over 100 locations across Japan. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Osaka Abenobashi Station (adjacent to JR Tennoji Station). From Osaka Abenobashi Station, you can travel to Fujiidera in about 15 minutes on the Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line (no transfers required). The appeal of Super Hotel is the extensive service it offers for its price. Breakfast is served Buffet style and is included in the room rate. The hotel also has a shared natural hot spring (about the size of a public bath), which you can use to relax after a long day of travel. For more information, please visit the hotel's website.

APA Hotel Tennoji-Ekimae

1-4-11 Abenosuji, Abeno-ku, Osaka prefecture

  • We recommend traveling from Abeno.

  • If you are in the Kofu district of Osaka, you can go to Fujiidera or Tondabayashi, but there are very few hotels in this area. I recommend traveling from Abeno. The recommended hotel is the APA Hotel Tennoji Ekimae. It is conveniently located about 5 minutes from the station.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Osaka Sakai-Higashi

5-13 Shinmachi, Sakai-ku, Sakai-shi

  • The hotel is located near the tomb of Emperor Nintoku.

  • There are many ancient tombs in Osaka, but the first one to visit is probably the tomb of Emperor Nintoku. It's close to this hotel. There are also the remains of Sen no Rikyu's residence and Yosano Akiko's birthplace. The twin room had a modern atmosphere and was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast Buffet had a variety of Japanese and Western dishes and was delicious with lots of vegetables. This is a hotel that families can feel comfortable at.

Ryokan Nanten-en

158 Amami, Kawachi-Nagano City

  • A hideaway inn where you can feel the history

  • Ryokan (Japanese inn) is located right next to Amami Station, so it's conveniently located. It takes just an hour to get there from Osaka or Namba. It's inexpensive, and not too independent guest cottages from downtown Osaka, yet you can feel nature and peace. The Japanese-style rooms have a sense of elegance and history. I think it's the best choice for people who like to stay in a secluded inn.

Hotel Landmark Umeda

2-3-22 Shibata, Kita-ku

  • I recommend Umeda over Tennoji.

  • The Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line to Fujiidera has a terminal at Tennoji, but there aren't many hotels and it's not a very nice place (though it is Osaka-like). If you have children, I think Umeda is better. It depends on where you're going, but the Landmark Hotel is just north of Osaka Station and close to the airport bus terminal, so it's convenient. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there is everything around, so you won't have any trouble finding food. Tennoji is about 15 minutes by JR or subway.
