I want to make this a trip where I can enjoy the feeling of living in Kyoto.
I'm planning to go to Kyoto with my mother for a week. I want to experience living in Kyoto, not just visiting Tourist attractions. Can you tell me about hotels in areas where I can experience life in Kyoto?

There is also a large public bath on the rooftop.
- We stayed here for two nights as a family (married couple and two small children) over New Year's last year. It was located in the center of the city, close to the subway station, and very convenient for sightseeing in Kyoto. The famous Nishiki Market was within walking distance even for children. The food is very Kyoto-like
- I can't imagine staying in the same hotel for a week, so this is one I would highly recommend. It's out of the center of Kyoto, but very convenient for exploring Arashiyama. It's right next to Togetsukyo Bridge, but it's very quiet, probably because it's surrounded by the river and greenery, and the atmosphere is not too fancy, which is nice. Hotel with natural hot springs
