  • Naruko Hotel
  • Please tell me a hotel in Naruko Onsen, Miyagi Prefecture, where elderly people can easily enjoy the hot springs.

I will be staying at Naruko Onsen with my elderly mother. I think it would be difficult to find a hotel with many steps, so I would like a hotel with facilities such as handrails and slopes. It doesn't have to be completely barrier-free. Please tell me a recommended hotel with good quality hot springs for about 10,000 yen per night. I would like a hotel with good quality hot springs.

Naruko Hotel

36 Yumoto, Naruko Onsen, Osaki-shi

  • This hotel is more barrier-free than other hotels.

  • This is a representative hotel in Naruko Onsen, and they also put a lot of effort into making it barrier-free. There is a wheelchair ramp at the entrance, and you can enter the lobby without any steps. The dining area also has space for wheelchairs, and if you would like to eat in your room, they will accommodate you if you apply in advance. The baths are barrier-free, with handrails and private baths available for a fee. Prices vary depending on the season, but if you use Buffet plan, you can enjoy a meal for less than 10,000 yen.

Genzo no Yu Naruko Kanko Hotel

  • Enjoy Naruko Onsen at your leisure

  • If you're in Naruko Onsen, I think this inn is superior in terms of size and service. To be honest, I don't know how the quality of the spring is different from other inns, but I think it's a satisfying quality. This is the most traditional hot spring in Naruko Onsen, and I think you'll be satisfied with the relaxing rooms and familiar cuisine. There is also a private hot spring with a barrier-free space, so you can enjoy the hot spring at your own pace.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari

17 Kurumayu Narukoonsen

  • A very large bath as big as a thousand tatami mats

  • I recommend "Oedo Onsen Monogatari Naruko Onsen Kounkaku." Wheelchairs are available for rental. You can also stay within your budget. The specialty of this inn is the large open-air bath. It is about a thousand tatami mats in size, so you won't be in close contact with other people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meals are served buffet style, so you can eat as much as you like and be satisfied.

Naruko Fuga

55 Yumoto Naruko onsen

  • This is a guesthouse that is currently working on becoming barrier-free.

  • This inn is moving towards barrier-free access with elevator facilities and handrails in the large bath. There are Japanese-style rooms with beds. The large bath is spacious, and the stone open-air bath is also very pleasant. You can hold the handrails in both the indoor and open-air baths. The meals are delicious kaiseki meals. If you request a chair in advance, they will prepare one for you in the dining area. This is an inn where you can relax in a quiet, natural environment.

Yusaya Ryokan

84 Yumoto, Naruko Onsen, Osaki-shi

  • You can enjoy three types of high-quality hot springs.

  • We recommend "The Original Eel Bath Inn Yusaya." The inn's appeal is its three types of high-quality hot springs. You can also enjoy the hot spring town, where the aroma of the hot springs wafts through the air. The inn boasts a tradition of 330 years. It is a two-story wooden building made in a purely Japanese style, with a retro-modern atmosphere. There are three types of hot springs to enjoy: the slippery alkaline "Unagi-yu," the refreshing sulfur spring public bath "Taki-no-yu," and the private open-air bath "Akane-no-yu" surrounded by nature in independent guest cottages building. We hope you and your mother have a wonderful hot spring trip.
