I'd like to go see the traditional Akita "Namahage" with family. Are there any hot hot spring inns that you would recommend for family trip?
I would like to show my daughter the "Namahage" of Akita which impressed me when I was little. It may be a scary experience for my daughter, but I want it to be a good memory. Please tell me about a hot spring inn where family of four can stay.

- It's located in the Oga Peninsula, so the Namahage Museum is nearby. It's also relatively close to Oga Cape, so it's good for sightseeing in both areas. You can experience Namahage at the Namahage Museum all year round. (Please buy a combined ticket, you cannot experience Namahage at the museum alone) However, be careful not to have a heart attack. The Namahage Museum here looks just like the real thing and is quite impressive.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

The hotel is the base of operations.
- I'd like my daughter to experience the Namahage that I experienced in Akita. If so, how about a hotel in front of the station? It's "Daiwa Roynet Hotel Akita." Although it doesn't have a hot spring, it is a very satisfying hotel. It's conveniently located for going anywhere.るき's answer (Posted on:2022/3/15)

The food is delicious and the events are fun.
- At a nearby facility, there is a Namahage drum event at night. It is close to the hotel, but there is a shuttle bus, so it is convenient. There is also a Namahage experience center, so it is a good idea to stay here and visit it. My daughter, who is in the third grade of elementary school, cried, though.ぷるまり's answer (Posted on:2015/10/ 3)

This is a friendly hot spring inn where Namahage drum shows are also held.
- The reason we recommend this inn is that it is like Oga's Namahage Ryokan (Japanese inn), where you can fully immerse yourself in the Namahage atmosphere. There is a Namahage drum show after dinner, which gets the guests all excited and enthusiastic, and the hot spring water taps are also shaped like Namahage, which is very impressive. The inn is located in a place where you can see the Sea of Japan, and you can enjoy delicious hot pots and local dishes, so it is a great place to relax with the family. By the way, the Namahage drummers are young and cool, so your daughter will probably be happy rather than scared.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

Enjoy a performance of the specialty dish "Isoyaki"
- The Oga Peninsula where the hotel is located is known as the home of Namahage. It belongs to the Oga Onsenkyo hot spring resort, and the hot springs are free-flowing from the source. The specialty here is the fisherman's local dish "isoyaki." This dish involves putting hot stones into a tub containing fish and boiling it instantly, and as it cooks in an instant, the deliciousness of the seafood is locked in. Near the hotel is "Namahage Sato Kagura," a facility where you can see Namahage, so be sure to visit there as well.ウイングチップ's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

Conveniently located and easily accessible from Akita Station.
- If you are looking for a relaxing hot spring inn in Akita that can accommodate family of four, why not consider Akita hot spring as one of your options? The facilities are relatively well-equipped and the prices are reasonable, so I think it will meet your needs. I was also glad that hot spring had open-air bath.miyosiko's answer (Posted on:2017/5/ 4)
