  • Kagoshima Sunamushionsen Ibusuki Hakusuikan
  • I want to go on a trip to Kagoshima! Are there any recommended lodgings where I can take a sand bath?

We are married couple in our 30s living in Tokyo who are planning a trip to Kagoshima for 2 nights and 3 days in early February. Please let me know of any lodgings that have sand baths or are close to sand bath spots. If there are any hot springs with Breathtaking view view, such as one with a view of Sakurajima, I would like to try them.

Kagoshima Sunamushionsen Ibusuki Hakusuikan

Higashikata 12126-12

  • I think the satisfaction rate is 100%.

  • When you travel to Kagoshima, you think of hot springs, such as Kirishima Onsen and Ibusuki Onsen, but the sand baths are especially recommended. When it comes to sand baths, I think Ibusuki Onsen in the southern part of the Satsuma Peninsula is the most famous. Ibusuki Onsen is dotted with many Ryokan (Japanese inn) and hotels, but I think Hakusuikan is in a class of its own among them. It is located at the foot of Mt. Uomi, overlooking Kinko Bay, and there is also an art museum on the premises. What makes it so great is not only the many elaborately designed baths, but also the delicious food, which I'm sure you will be pleased with.

Ryokan Ibusuki training

  • There is a sand bath in Ryokan (Japanese inn), and the Genroku bath afterwards also has a great atmosphere.

  • steam bath taken in the sand are many in Ibusuki. I was there during the cold season, so I went to Ryokan (Japanese inn) steam bath taken in the sand We experienced this at the Hakusui Kan, which is adjacent to the We were allowed to drink the water and the person who sprinkled the sand was very attentive. Afterwards, I took a shower to remove the sand and then entered the large bath, which was more relaxing than the others. The bathhouse is called Genroku-buro (Genroku bath), so I could taste the old bath and the changing room was clean. I think it is geographically difficult to see Sakurajima from Ibusuki, but if you want to take a bath while viewing Sakurajima, I recommend the open-air bath at the Shiroyama Kanko Hotel in Kagoshima City. The hotel is on top of a small mountain, so the view of Sakurajima from the open-air bath and reception desk was the most beautiful.

Iwasaki Hotel

  • There is a sand bathing facility inside the hotel. The bath after the experience also has a great view, so it is recommended.

  • After experiencing the sand steam bath, there is a hot spring on the top floor of the hotel to remove the sand. The view is outstanding. You can also enjoy a Hawaiian show at night and, depending on the season, digging potatoes in the park (1,000 yen for a box full of potatoes!). ) in the park in some seasons. There is also a bowling alley, so even if the weather is bad, you can still have fun with your family.

SHIROYAMA HOTEL KAGOSHIMASA

  • Just a great hotel!

  • Enjoy the steam bath in Ibusuki. I visited Kagoshima last month. It is indeed the gateway to southern Kyushu. There are many delicious foods such as mackerel, kibinago, Kagoshima beef and pork. In the city, "Shiroyama Hotel Kagoshima" is the best hotel! You will understand if you go there. We were really satisfied with the staff and the food. There is a shuttle bus to the station and the astronomical museum. It is close by cab, though. Please go there by all means. The view of Sakurajima from the open-air bath is fantastic!

Ibusuki Kaijyo Hotel

  • The hotel has a sand bath facility.

  • The hotel has sand steam bath facilities, so when the sand steaming is finished, you can take off your yukata and take a shower without going outside, so you don't have to feel cold in winter. The room rate is reasonable, breakfast is in the Buffet style, and dinner is a kaiseki (Japanese-style meal), all of which are delicious.

Ryokan Koran no Yu Kinkouroh

  • A hotel with a view of Kinko Bay and Sakurajima

  • The location offers a view of Kinko Bay and Sakurajima from the window. You can also enjoy a Bijin-no-yu (a hot spring of beauty) open-air bath at Bijin-no-Yu. There is also a shuttle bus to the Sand Steam Hall, where you can experience a sand bath, which is convenient as it takes about 15 minutes. For meals, you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with fresh fish caught in Kinko Bay and seasonal ingredients from Kagoshima, as well as Kagoshima black pork Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot).

  • You can experience a sand bath.

  • This hotel is located by the sea, so you can enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean from your room. Also, Kagoshima is known for its sand steam baths, so I wanted to experience one and was told that transportation was available from the hotel, so I took advantage of it. I was also satisfied with the meals Buffet because I could choose my favorite food.

Kyukamura Ibusuki

  • The sand hot spring at the inn are the best.

  • This is a holiday village, so you can stay safely and at a reasonable price. There is a spacious sand bath here, where you can change into a work uniform, have the staff cover you in sand, and sweat it out thoroughly. After washing off the sand in the shower, you can head straight to open-air bath. I sweated so much that I can't describe how refreshed I felt. There are various types of rooms, and I chose a twin room facing the sea, which had a great view and was spacious and clean. I also liked that the floors were wooden, which gave it a clean feeling.
