  • Please tell me where to stay in Hokkaido where I can enjoy skiing and hot spring

I'd like to enjoy skiing and hot spring on my trip to Hokkaido. I don't know much about ski resorts and hotels in Hokkaido, so please let me know if there are any recommended ski resorts and hotels.

Hakodate Onuma Prince Hotel

Nishi-Onuma Onsen, Nanae-cho, Kameda-gun

  • Besides skiing, you can also enjoy sightseeing in Hakodate!

  • Although it is in the southern tip of Hokkaido, I would like to introduce it to you. The hotel is located on the banks of Lake Onuma. Hakodate Nanae Ski Park is nearby. (The snow quality seems to be good after the beginning of the year.) There are also local buses from Hakodate Airport. (However, the number of buses is small.) Depending on the season, there are shuttle buses from the hotel to the airport or the station, so I recommend you check. The regular price is about 40,000 yen per night for a twin room, and you will have some change left over. (You can get a great deal by using various accommodation packages.) It is about 40 minutes by car from the city of Hakodate, so if you have a rental car, you can easily enjoy sightseeing in Hakodate (Mt. Hakodate, Goryokaku, Yunokawa Onsen, etc.). I went on a trip with my family and rented a car at Hakodate Airport, so we were able to enjoy not only the ski resorts but also Minamikayabe (a famous kelp production area), Shikabe Onsen, Esan, and extend our trip to Hakodate city (Goryokaku, etc.) and the Trappist monastery to enjoy our holidays.
