I want to go see Mt. Fuji on New Year's Day. Can you recommend an inn with a hot spring?
I'm traveling with my mother. We don't mind if we go by car or train, but I'd be grateful if you could recommend a nice, clean inn with an open-air bath and that serves New Year's-style food.

- I have stayed at many inns with a view of Mt. Fuji, but none have left as much of an impression as this one. I have introduced it on this site many times. The attraction is the location of Kyukamura Fuji, on the western shore of Lake Tanuki. You can see the big Mt. Fuji and the upside-down Mt. Fuji reflected in the lake from all the rooms and the open-air baths. The view of Mt. Fuji is impressive. The price is reasonable, and you can enjoy your favorite dishes in Buffet style for both dinner and breakfast. The location is great, and if you wake up early in the morning, you can immediately go for a walk on the promenade around the lake. You can go around the whole lake in about an hour. The refreshing morning atmosphere and Mt. Fuji match perfectly, making for a pleasant walk. It is also popular with families with children. There is a natural history museum near the inn, where you can learn about the nature of Mt. Fuji.
