  • Fuji Lake Hotel
  • I want to go see Mt. Fuji on New Year's Day. Can you recommend an inn with a hot spring?

I'm traveling with my mother. We don't mind if we go by car or train, but I'd be grateful if you could recommend a nice, clean inn with an open-air bath and that serves New Year's-style food.

Fuji Lake Hotel

1,Funatsu,Fujikawaguchiko-machi,Minamitsuru-gun

  • Hotels with a view of Mt. Fuji recommended for New Year's trips

  • This is a recommended resort hotel on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture. It is located in a great location where you can see the first sunrise of the year over Mt. Fuji from your room window. You can enjoy delicious authentic kaiseki cuisine made with seasonal ingredients.

Hotel Kaneyamaen

9-1-18 Kamiyoshidahigashi, Fujiyoshida-City, Yamanashi, Japan

  • An open-air bath Breathtaking view view of Mt. Fuji

  • This is a wonderful hotel with a wonderful Japanese garden and Breathtaking view view of Mt. Fuji from the rooms. The price is a little high, but the facilities are great and everything is comfortable. The food is also very delicious, so it's a hotel where parents and children can relax and unwind.

Fuji View Hotel

511 Katsuyama, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Minamitsuru-gun,

  • Quiet and relaxing hotel

  • It's independent guest cottages from the tourist areas, so it's a little more relaxing than the Kawaguchi Lakeside area I visited. The garden is spacious, and this historic hotel is different. You can't enjoy the bath while looking at Mt. Fuji, but I was satisfied. There are also rooms with a view of Mt. Fuji.

Hotel Mt. Fuji

1360-83 Yamanaka, Yamanakako-mura, Minamitsuru-gun,Yamanashi Prefecture

  • A resort hotel with a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Yamanaka

  • How about Lake Yamanaka? There are not many inns with open-air baths around Mt. Fuji, probably because there are no old hot springs. However, Hotel Mount Fuji has an open-air bath with a great view, probably because it is located on high ground. If the weather is good, you can see the beautiful Mt. Fuji. Lake Yamanaka is nearby and there is a shuttle bus.

Hotel Hagoromo

Shimizu-ku Miho 1282-1

  • View of Mt. Fuji from Miho no Matsubara

  • It's nice to see Mt. Fuji up close, but it's also recommended to see it together with Miho no Matsubara, a component part of the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Site, to get a feel for Japanese culture. This inn has a vast Japanese garden adjacent to the Hagoromo Pine and is built in Japanese architecture, allowing you to feel the Japanese atmosphere.

Rembrandt Premium Fuji Gotemba

2571 Fukasawa

  • You can see Mt. Fuji from your room.

  • If you are driving, it is about 5 minutes from Gotemba IC, and if you are traveling by train, it is about 10 minutes by taxi from Gotemba Station. If you are coming from Fukushima, I think it is better to take the train. It is a very beautiful hotel and I think you can make a reservation in time. Of course, there is an open-air bath, so you can relax with your family.

Hotel Green Plaza Hakone

Sengokuhara 1244-2

  • Hakone hotel with a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji

  • It is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the Hakone Ropeway. You can choose between a Japanese-style room and a Western-style room. We recommend the Japanese-Western style dinner and Buffet style breakfast. In particular, both men and women can enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath, and the view of Mt. Fuji from the women's open-air bath is Breathtaking view.

Ohito Hotel

Yoshida 1178

  • There is an open-air bath with a view of Mt. Fuji.

  • Above all, the view of Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath is Breathtaking view. The open-air bath is very spacious and if the weather is good, I think it would be really comfortable. The price is also relatively cheap. Also, they seem to provide a shuttle service from the nearest station, so I think it would be a good idea to contact them.

Fugakugunjo

2461-1 Yagisawa

  • All rooms have beautiful views of Mt. Fuji.

  • If you want to stay at a hotel with a view of Mt. Fuji, why not consider "Fugaku Gunjo" in Nishiizu as one of your options? You can see a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji from the large open-air bath, and you can see it directly from all the rooms.

Seiranso Ryokan

679 Miyakami, Yugawara-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun

  • Enjoy Yugawara Onsen and Mt. Fuji

  • When you enter the open-air bath here, there is a cliff facing the bath, and a waterfall flows from the top of the cliff. You can really feel the atmosphere. It feels like you are in a scene from a movie. Although you cannot see Mt. Fuji directly from the inn, Mt. Hakone is very close, and there are many spots where you can enjoy the best view of Mt. Fuji, such as Jikkoku Pass.

Highland Resort Hotel & Spa

5-6-1 Shinnishihara, Fujiyoshida-shi

  • Resort hotel next to Fuji-Q Highland

  • We recommend the Highland Resort Hotel & Spa. The view of Mt. Fuji from the window is outstanding. This hotel is next to Fuji-Q Highland, so you can enjoy Fuji-Q Highland there. You can also enjoy hot springs at the facility next to the hotel. The bath is made of pure wood and features nail-free beams, based on the motif of an important cultural property building in Hida Takayama, giving you a taste of Japanese atmosphere. The scent of wood is also soothing.

Izutoi Hot Spring Fujiya Hotel

478-1 Toi, Izu-shi

  • View of Mt. Fuji across the sea

  • The best way to get there is by ferry from Shimizu Port. The view of Mt. Fuji floating in Suruga Bay is spectacular. Mt. Fuji is especially white in winter, and the air at the venue is clear, making it a sight to behold. I also recommend a walk around the old gold mine from the hot spring area. It's windy and cold, but it's a hot spring area.

Ubuya

10 Asakawa, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Minamitsuru-gun

  • View of Mt. Fuji from the shores of Lake Kawaguchi

  • You can see Mt. Fuji from every room, so you can have it all to yourself. If you're lucky, you can expect to see an upside-down view of Lake Kawaguchi in the early morning. Also, it has nothing to do with Mt. Fuji, but since you're going with your mother, I'll let you in on some top-secret information. How about booking a surprise massage? The massage lady who will help you show your appreciation for your mother is top-notch (apparently famous in the area), so ask at the hotel. I've been traveling hot spring all over Japan for about 30 years, and I think she's one of the top three in the country.

Fuji

634 Saori

  • If you want to see the mighty Mt. Fuji, this is the only place to stay!

  • I have stayed at many inns with a view of Mt. Fuji, but none have left as much of an impression as this one. I have introduced it on this site many times. The attraction is the location of Kyukamura Fuji, on the western shore of Lake Tanuki. You can see the big Mt. Fuji and the upside-down Mt. Fuji reflected in the lake from all the rooms and the open-air baths. The view of Mt. Fuji is impressive. The price is reasonable, and you can enjoy your favorite dishes in Buffet style for both dinner and breakfast. The location is great, and if you wake up early in the morning, you can immediately go for a walk on the promenade around the lake. You can go around the whole lake in about an hour. The refreshing morning atmosphere and Mt. Fuji match perfectly, making for a pleasant walk. It is also popular with families with children. There is a natural history museum near the inn, where you can learn about the nature of Mt. Fuji. There is also a campsite nearby, where you can experience the natural environment firsthand.
