  • Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Ichii
  • I'm going on girls trip to Kusatsu Onsen. Are there any lodgings where I can enjoy the Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) experience and delicious food?

Two girls are going on a two-day, one-night trip to a hot spring. Please tell me Ryokan (Japanese inn) offers Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) experience and delicious food for less than 10,000 yen per person. We will be traveling by train and bus, so we would like a hotel that is conveniently located and easily accessible.

Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Ichii

411,Kusatsu,Kusatsu-machi,Agatsuma-gun

  • Ryokan (Japanese inn) located in the Yubatake area, the center of Kusatsu Onsen

  • I recommend Ichii Hotel. It is located in the center of Kusatsu Onsen, right in front of the Yubatake, so it is very convenient for exploring hot spring. I think you will be satisfied with both the room and the food. If you choose the cheaper plan, you will not have dinner in your room, but you will have dinner at the restaurant, which I think is more convenient. I always have dinner at the restaurant and have no complaints. hot spring at the hotel are nice, but if you go to Kusatsu, you should definitely visit the public baths.

Kusatsu Onsen Boun

433-1, Agatsuma-gun

  • A hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) with six baths

  • We recommend "Boun" as Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Kusatsu Onsen. It takes 25 minutes by bus from Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi Station to reach Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal, and then a 7-minute walk from there to Ryokan. Near the Ryokan, you can see the popular Yubatake hot springs, a show of Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.), and experience Yumomi. Ryokan has six baths, including an open-air bath, so you can enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content. For meals, you can also try Himemasu dishes.

Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Takamatsu

312,Agatsuma-gun

  • Affordable accommodation near the Yubatake

  • I think 10,000 yen for two meals is a bit steep, but it's possible with a limited plan. Since it's close to the Yubatake, you can also experience Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.), and being close to the Yubatake means being close to the bus terminal, so I think this is a place that meets your needs. Kusatsu's selling point is the quality of its hot spring water, so I recommend this inn at the source of the Yubatake hot spring water.

Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Village

618, Kusatsu-machi Agatsuma-gun Gumma ken

  • A resort hotel in Kusatsu where you can experience Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.)

  • How about this resort hotel where you can enjoy Kusatsu Onsen? You can also experience Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) at the hotel for a fee. In addition to the hot springs, the hotel also has a pool, amusement facilities, tennis courts, cycling and other outdoor facilities, so everyone from adults to children can enjoy themselves. There is a shuttle bus to Kusatsu Station. You can also walk to the Yubatake, or there is a shuttle bus. Although it is over budget, this is a recommended resort hotel.

Sato Pension Ruhe

  • A pension-style hotel with a private bath

  • This is a pension-style hotel with a garden on the premises. The natural hot spring bath is available for private use 24 hours a day, so you can relax. The luxurious rooms are highly recommended for this price range. You can experience Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) experience at "Netsu-no-yu," a 13-minute walk from the pension.

Yuyado Tokinoniwa (Kyoritsu Resort)

464-214 Kusatsu Shirane, Kusatsu-cho, Agatsuma-gun

  • Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Kusatsu where all rooms have an open-air bath

  • We recommend "Kusatsu Onsen Yuyado Tokinoniwa." It may be a little bit over budget, but it's definitely worth it. The most luxurious thing about it is that all rooms have an open-air open-air bath. The appeal is being able to enjoy the Kusatsu hot springs at your own pace. There is also a large public bath and a free private bath, and there are 23 types of baths in the building, so you can enjoy hot spring to your heart's content. We recommend this as one option if you want to enjoy the Kusatsu hot springs to the fullest.

Hotel Spax Kusatsu

70-1, Kusatsu, Kusatsu-machi Agatsuma-gun, Gunma

  • Located on a hill in Kusatsu, it is convenient for exploring the Yubatake area.

  • This hotel is an 8-minute walk from the Yubatake. There are only 20 guest rooms, but the hotel itself is quite large, and some of the rooms have been renovated and are very clean. There are both Western-style and Japanese-style rooms. The hot springs are very comfortable, with a large communal bath and an open-air bath, and the open-air bath is surrounded by greenery, making you feel close to nature. The food is also original Japanese cuisine made with local ingredients, which is delicious and visually appealing. I think you will be satisfied with the price.
