  • Hilton Tokyo Narita Airport Hotel
  • Are there any nice hot spring inns in Kanto where I can stay for less than 20,000 yen One person per night during the New Year holidays?

Every year, I spend the New Year holidays at home, but this year I want to go on a trip and visit a shrine for the first time of the year. I would like to know the best places to visit shrines around the country and the best accommodations in the area. My accommodation budget is less than 20,000 yen One person per night.

Hilton Tokyo Narita Airport Hotel

456 Kosuge, Narita City, Chiba Pref.

  • Hilton Hotel near Narita Airport

  • If you're visiting the first shrine in the Kanto region, Naritasan Shinshoji Temple or Kawasaki Daishi come to mind. In Narita, there is a natural hot spring called "Yamato no Yu." The hotel I recommend is the Hilton Narita. It's easily accessible from JR Narita Station and Narita Airport. There is no hot spring in the hotel, but it seems like it would be nice to use the day-trip hot springs in the area. I think it would be a good choice for a hotel stay after the first shrine visit and the hot springs.

Kinugawa Onsen Hotel

545 Kinugawa Onsen Taki

  • Kinugawa Onsen and recommended accommodations for New Year's visits

  • It is easily accessible from Tokyo by car in about 2 hours, so it is a recommended hotel for first shrine visits of the year. A couple plan is also available, so it is recommended for married couple. You can refresh your daily fatigue in the hot springs. For first shrine visits of the year, we recommend Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Nikko, and Nikko Futarasan Shrine, which are about 30 minutes away by car.

ART HOTEL Narita

700 Kosuge, Narita City, Chiba Pref.

  • There is a free shuttle bus between the hotel and Narita Station or Narita Airport.

  • I recommend the Narita View Hotel. The hotel has a free shuttle bus that runs between the hotel, Narita Airport, the shopping mall, and Narita Station, which is extremely convenient. Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, famous for its New Year's visits, is about a 10-minute walk from Narita Station along the approach to the temple. If you go by car during the New Year's visit period, you will be stuck in heavy traffic waiting for a parking space, so it is recommended that you walk. You can also soak in Narita Onsen at the hotel. There is also a convenience store, which is convenient. In addition to Buffet, there are also restaurants serving French, Chugoku, and Japanese cuisine. It is recommended as it is a reasonably priced place to stay.

Yokohama Royal Park Hotel

2-2-1-3 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku

  • Enjoy a stroll around Yokohama and the night view

  • How about spending the year in Yokohama? The first shrine visit of the year is Iseyama Kotaijingu Shrine, which is bustling with food stalls along the streets. The hotel is located in the center of Yokohama, and depending on the room, you can enjoy the night view of the seaside, including Yokohama Bay Bridge. You can also explore Yamashita Park, Motomachi, Chinatown, Bashamichi, and Nogeyama by walking or taking a short train ride. The hotel does not have a hot spring, but we recommend taking a dip in the hot spring at the nearby Manyo Club while you're out and about.

Asaya Hotel

813 Kinugawaonsen Taki, Nikko-city

  • A hotel in Kinugawa Onsen that is fun for both adults and children

  • How about the Kinugawa Onsen "Asaya Hotel" in Tochigi Prefecture Nikko? Several hot springs Ryokan (Japanese inn) stand along the Kinugawa River along the mountain stream. The lobby is very impressive and the blow-up is a bit amazing. The onsen, of course, have a very well-stocked souvenir shop, karaoke and game corner, table tennis and billiards, and other facilities for the enjoyment of children and adults alike. For Hatsumode, I recommend Nikko Toshogu Shrine!

Odakyu Hotel de Yama Hakone Lake Side

80 Moto-Hakone, Hakone-machi, Ashigara-shimo-gun

  • How about visiting Hakone Shrine and Kuzuryu Shrine?

  • From Yamano Hotel, it's only a five-minute walk to Hakone Shrine, so transportation is easy. It is also popular as one of the Kanto region's leading sacred places, and as it is located on the shores of Lake Ashi, you can enjoy spectacular Breathtaking view. Yamano Hotel, also located on the lakeside, is a high-quality resort hotel surrounded by nature. Relaxing in the open-air hot springs while gazing out at the forest will soothe both your body and mind and Breathtaking view you. From the observation deck on the fifth floor, you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the lakeside. I think you'll be able to start the year off right in the middle of nature and sacred places.

Ryokan Wakamatsu Honten

355 355 Honmachi, Narita

  • Recommended accommodation for New Year's visits near Naritasan Shinshoji Temple

  • This inn is conveniently located for the first shrine visit of the year to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. It is also a 15-minute walk from Narita Station, making it a great place to take a stroll. For meals, you can enjoy Narita's specialty eel, and for breakfast, you can enjoy vegetarian cuisine that will give you a taste of Japanese culture. There are two hot springs, a tatami-floored bath that you can't usually experience, and a Western-style bath, so you can relax and soak in them.

Manza Prince Hotel

Manza-onsen, Tsumagoi-mura

  • The view from the open-air bath is very beautiful.

  • How about a first shrine visit of the year at Manza Onsen Yakushido? It's a great way to feel at an altitude of 1,800m. There are a lot of people gathering there. As for nearby hot spring inns, I recommend the Manza Prince Hotel, which is about a 15-minute walk away. It's in the mountains, so the open-air bath surrounded by nature has a great view. There is also a Mixed-Gender Hot Springs-gender open-air bath. There is also a women-only covered open-air bath. The plan we used didn't include meals, but it was less than 10,000 yen. There are about four restaurants, so you can order Chinese, Western, and other food a la carte for a cheap price. The staff are also very friendly.

Awanoyu

  • You can also enjoy bath to view the snow at Shirahone Onsen

  • I would like to recommend Shirahone Onsen. It takes about two hours from Matsumoto by train and bus to get there, but I recommend Awanoyu Ryokan (Japanese inn). You can enjoy bath to view the snow in the milky white open-air bath. It is Mixed-Gender Hot Springs, but women are provided with bathing clothes. It is also fun for married couple to enjoy a conversation while soaking. The hot spring is characterized by its lukewarm water and bubbles. The lukewarm carbonated sulfur spring is good for relieving fatigue. The experience of your body being enveloped in the fine bubbles in the water is unique to this place. It takes a little over an hour to visit the shrine for the first time of the year, but Hotaka Shrine is relatively close to the inn and is a famous shrine.

Hotel Matsumotoro

164 Ikahomachi, Ikaho, Shibukawa

  • This is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Ikaho.

  • I stayed there once and the attentive service was good. Meals were served in the room, and if you want to go to Ishidan-gai, they will pick you up. I think it was about 20,000 yen, but it might be a little expensive during the New Year holidays. How about visiting the shrine at the top of Ishidan-gai for your first visit of the year?

  • Fuji can be seen from hot spring

  • It's conveniently located, and you can see Mt. Fuji from open-air bath. You can choose from Japanese and Western cuisine. Lake Ashi is nearby, and there are many attractions such as sightseeing boats and the Hakone checkpoint. Hakone Shrine is the best place for your first visit of the year. JR-EAST HOTEL METS KAMAKURA OFUNA

1-2-1 Ofuna

  • We recommend taking a stroll around Kamakura

  • The hotel is located in the Kamakura area, so it is very convenient for transportation. There are no hot springs at the hotel, but there are many temples in the area, and you can also visit Kamakura, so I think it's killing two birds with one stone, so I recommend it. Depending on the direction of your room, you may be able to see the Great Buddha of Kamakura. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is a popular place to visit for the New Year. It's about a 15-minute bus ride from the hotel.

  • Enjoy the open-air bath and ocean views

  • How about relaxing in a hot spring while gazing at the ocean in Izu? This is a modern Japanese hotel with an open-air bath in every room. We recommend the historic Tahachiman Shrine for your first visit of the year. It's close to the coast, so you can take a leisurely stroll and the food is delicious, featuring fresh local fish. Fukumatsu

1060-47 Ohara, Kinugawa Onsen, Nikko-shi

  • Have a wonderful New Year's Day at Kinugawa Onsen, the inner sanctum of Nikko!

  • Located along the Kinugawa River in the old hot spring town, this hotel is a hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) where you can hear the murmuring of the river and enjoy the tranquility and sounds of nature. reception desk staff are hospitable, and the open-air bath and large communal bath are in harmony with the retro lobby, making this a Japanese-style Ryokan (Japanese inn) where you can enjoy a unified hot spring. The recommended place for the first shrine visit of the year is Nikko Shrine, where you can see the artistry of the famous Tsunagi Dragon along with the Three Wise Monkeys.
