  • Can you recommend a place to stay on Sado Island where you can enjoy the sunset over the Sea of Japan?

married couple and I are planning to go on a trip to Sado Island. We want to stay at a hotel where we can enjoy a hot spring bath while watching the sun set into the Sea of Japan. We are thinking of keeping the budget at around 30,000 yen. Are there any recommended hotels?

Hotel Mancho

58 Aikawaorito-machi, Sado-shi

  • Enjoy the sunset in a room facing the Sea of Japan

  • If you want to enjoy the sunset from your room, this inn is also recommended. Depending on the room, it is on the seafront, so you can see the magnificent view of the Sea of Japan in front of you, and the crimson-hued sky and sea. The inn is decorated with art related to Sado, so you can also experience the history and culture of Sado. For dinner, we had a lot of fresh local seafood. open-air bath is also great.

  • Hot springs while watching the sunset

  • The hotel is located on the west coast of Sado Island. The bathroom is on the west side, so you can enjoy the sunset over the Sea of Japan while soaking in the hot springs, just as you wish. In the summer, you can swim and set off fireworks at the beach right in front of the hotel.

  • The view of the Sea of Japan is outstanding

  • You can see the crimson sunset over Aikawa Bay. It's impressive. For meals, you can eat seasonal delicacies from the local Sado coast. It is one of the oldest Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Sado, and although it is old, it is well-maintained, and both the rooms and the baths are clean and tidy. The staff are also well-mannered, such as greetings, so you can stay comfortably.
