Natural Hot Spring Super Hotel Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi

538-1 Nakano cho, Shijo agaru, Nakagyo-ku

  • You can probably see the bonfire from your room at this hotel.

  • If you want to see the Gozan no Okuribi, it's probably best to go further north in Kyoto City. The mountains are mostly lined up on the northern edge of the Kyoto Basin. This hotel is located north of Kyoto Station, so you can see the Okuribi, although not all of them. Since it's a famous hotel in the downtown area, you may need to make a reservation early.

Kyoto Tower Hotel

721-1,Higashi-Shiokouji,Karasuma-dori,Shimogyo-ku

  • A hotel with a view of the Gozan no Okuribi bonfires

  • If you are looking for a hotel that you can stay at within your budget, I recommend the Kyoto Tower Hotel. There is an event where you can rent out the observation deck at 100m above ground, the highest point in Kyoto city, and enjoy all the Gozan no Okuribi bonfires, so you might want to participate in that event. It is located in front of the station, so it is convenient to go anywhere.

Hotel Okura Kyoto

Kawara-machi-dori,nijominamiiru ichinofunairicho537-4, Nakagyo-ku

  • There is a room where you can see the Gozan no Okuribi bonfires.

  • Although it is over my budget, the room is very good and you can see the Gozan no Okuribi fires from the hotel. There is also a plan to enjoy the Gozan no Okuribi fires while enjoying the hotel's signature cuisine. The hotel is located in the center of Kyoto, so it is convenient for sightseeing. There are also convenience stores and other restaurants nearby, making it very convenient.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Sanjo

80 Mikura-cho, Nakagyou-ku

  • The large public bath with a garden is very pleasant.

  • It's recommended because it's close to the subway station and has good transportation access, but soaking in the jacuzzi in the large open-air bath will help you relax after a day of walking. The accommodation fee is reasonable, but I think this is a recommended point that other hotels don't have.

RIHGA Royal Hotel Kyoto

1 Taimatsu-cho, Shiokoji-sagaru, HigashiHorikawa-dori, Shimogyo-ku,

  • Hotel with a view of the Gozan no Okuribi from the rooms

  • This hotel offers a view of the Gozan no Okuribi fires from the rooms, is reasonably priced for a room only stay, is close to Kyoto Station, and has a shuttle bus. Overall, it is spacious and comfortable. The shuttle bus runs frequently and is convenient. You can see the Gozan no Okuribi fires, and Nishi Honganji Temple, Toji Temple, Kyoto Aquarium, and other places are within walking distance of the hotel, so it is a recommended hotel for sightseeing and travel.

APA Hotel Kyoto-Gion Excellent

555 Minamigawa, Gionmachi, Higashiyama-ku

  • APA Hotels with accommodation plans for viewing the Gozan no Okuribi bonfire

  • This APA Hotel is conveniently located about a 4-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station. It is popular because they offer a stay package every year to watch the Gozan no Okuribi. It feels a little old compared to other APA hotels, but even if you discount that, the benefits of being able to enjoy the bonfires outweigh the negative aspects. Stay at a great deal, have a drink, and enjoy the view. I'm sure you'll be satisfied.

Hotel Monterey Kyoto

604 Manjuya-cho Sanjo-Sagaru, Karasuma-dori, Nakagyo-ku

  • A hotel with easy access to downtown Kyoto near Karasuma Station

  • It is conveniently located in Karasuma Sanjo in the center of Kyoto, just a 2-minute walk from Karasuma Oike Station. The British-style interior ignores the traditional Kyoto atmosphere, but Hotel Monterey Kyoto is a calm and elegant hotel. Another attractive feature is that the accommodation fee is reasonable for a high-class hotel. There is also a natural hot spring spa on the top floor. There is a plan that allows you to view the Gozan no Okuribi fires from the top floor.

KKR Kyoto Kuniso

Kamigyo-ku Higashi Sakuramachi 27-3

  • Hotel with open-air bath near Kyoto Imperial Palace

  • The Daimonji Yaki bonfire can be difficult to see from the rooms, but guests can get a clear view from the rooftop terrace. The standard single rooms are simple yet clean. There is a large communal bath here, as well as an open-air rock bath, so you can enjoy a relaxing time in the hot springs. Although it is a public lodging, the garden is magnificent and it is a very nice lodging. The surrounding area is close to the Kyoto Imperial Palace, making it a great location for sightseeing.

Super Hotel Kyoto Karasuma Gojo

396-3, Osakacho, Shimogyo-ku

  • A relatively cheap hotel in Kyoto.

  • I think the price of the accommodation is relatively cheap. Kyoto is a basin, so it is not a high mountain, but the hotel floor, that is, the city that places importance on the scenery, so I think it would be nice to be able to see it directly outside the hotel, not inside! Kyoto is bustling with customers!

  • Shukubo near Kyoto Station that is also recommended as a base for sightseeing

  • It's great to experience the Gozan Okuri ceremony while staying at Shukubo lodging. Chishakuin Kaikan is conveniently located near Kyoto Station, making it an excellent base for sightseeing. The rooms are very clean and have a variety of room types, including Western-style rooms, Japanese-style rooms, and Western-style and Japanese-style rooms, so it's like a hotel. You can also experience the morning service, making this an unforgettable trip to Kyoto. It's important to make a reservation early.
