  • Comfort Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi
  • Are there any recommended hotels for sightseeing USJ and Osaka?

I haven't been to Kansai much, but I'm going to Osaka to go to Universal Studios Japan with my children. I would be happy if you could tell me about tourist spots in Osaka that are fun for children, as well as recommended hotels and Ryokan (Japanese inn).

Comfort Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi

1-15-15 Higashi-Shinsaibashi

  • A hotel in the middle of Shinsaibashi

  • This is a chain hotel in the center of Shinsaibashi. They offer free breakfast in the morning. There are many restaurants nearby so you won't have any problems finding dinner. There is also a convenience store on the first floor, which was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Many foreign guests also stayed here. This is a hotel I would like to use again when traveling to Osaka.

RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka

5-3-68 Nakanoshima, Kita-ku

  • Play on the machines at Universal Studios Japan and enjoy nature at the Kaiyukan aquarium

  • Kaiyukan is one of the world's largest aquariums. The view from the tunnel-shaped tank called the Aqua Gate is Breathtaking view, as it feels like you are walking on the ocean floor. You can enjoy the excitement from the starting tunnel. For lodging, I recommend the Rihga Royal Hotel. The accommodation fee is quite high, but the rooms are spacious and relaxing. It is a little independent guest cottages from Osaka Station, but there is a free shuttle bus from the station, so it is not inconvenient.

Shin-Osaka Esaka Tokyo REI Hotel

9-6 Toyozucho

  • A hotel in front of the station!

  • I often stayed at this hotel for work, and it was very convenient because it was reasonably priced even though it was in front of the station. The rooms were clean and stylish. It's also convenient for taking a leisurely walk in Ryokuchi Park. It's convenient to go anywhere on the Midosuji subway line, so it's good. It's about 40 minutes by train to USJ.

Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka

6-1-55 Uehommachi, Tennoji-ku

  • The hotel is adjacent to a department store and has convenient transportation.

  • This hotel is adjacent to Kintetsu Uehonmachi, so it's convenient for dining and shopping. What's more, it's above Uehonmachi on the Kintetsu train line, so you can take the express train to Nara or Kyoto. Kintetsu is also connected to Hanshin, so it's a direct line to Kobe and Koshien. It's also easy to get to Universal Studios Japan. The hotel has a high-class feel, but the price is cheaper than in the Umeda area, which is nice.

Hilton Osaka

8-8, Umeda 1-chome, Kita-ku, Osaka, Japan

  • Convenient for anywhere you go

  • It is very convenient, directly connected to Osaka Station and Umeda subway. The facilities and interior are spacious and clean. The breakfast Buffet was also delicious. A recommended spot is the standard, but how about the Kaiyukan Aquarium, which is close to USJ? There are many spots around Kaiyukan that both children and adults can enjoy. It is about 25 minutes by train from USJ.

Miyako City Osaka Tennoji

1-2-8, Matsusaki-cho, Abeno-ku

  • It's close to Tennoji Zoo, offers a relaxing stay, and is reasonably priced.

  • If you come to Osaka, I recommend Tennoji Zoo. Kaiyukan is good, but it's crowded and expensive. In comparison, Tennoji Zoo is surprisingly cheap and still enjoyable. It's especially recommended if you have small children. If you save money and visit the observation deck of Abeno Harukas and conquer Tsutenkaku, you can say you've enjoyed Osaka to the fullest. This hotel is recommended as a base for doing so. The marionettes at Harukas are good, but very expensive. If you want to keep your accommodation costs down, I recommend Miyako City Osaka Tennoji, which is close to Tennoji Station.

Hotel Keihan Universal Tower

6-2-45 Shimaya, Konohana-ku

  • Get excited at the official USJ hotel

  • I live in the Kanto region, but I go to Osaka twice a year. I have small children at home, and I think they will enjoy the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan and the Kids Plaza. "ATC Asobi Mare" was also fun and reasonably priced. As for hotels, the official USJ hotels tend to get kids excited, and shopping at Universal City is also fun.

Hotel Monterey La Soeur Osaka

2-2-22 Shiromi Chuo-Ku

  • After having a great time at USJ, you can take a relaxing bath!

  • My family went to Universal Studios Japan in mid-August. On the first day, we played at Universal Studios Japan from opening time until closing time. At night, we stayed at Hotel Monterey La Soeur Osaka in the Osaka Castle area. The building is new and has a large public bath, so I think your children can take a long bath and sleep soundly at night. There is also an open-air bath, so bathing while watching the night view of Osaka is the best. On the second day, we went to Kaiyukan Aquarium. It is impressive to see the whale sharks swimming in the large aquarium. It is well managed and there are many sea creatures, so I think it is very enjoyable. There are also places where you can touch the fish. Also, if you are okay with heights, I recommend riding the Ferris wheel. You can see Osaka city, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and Awaji Island, which is very beautiful. Another popular place with children was the Instant Ramen Museum in Ikeda City. You can make your own original cup ramen. You buy a cup, draw your favorite picture on the cup, and choose your favorite soup and ingredients. Even if you don't eat it yourself, it makes a great souvenir. Admission was free. I hope you have a great trip!

Hotel Universal Port

1-1-111 Sakurajima Konohana-ku

  • A fun official USJ hotel

  • As it is an official hotel of Universal Studios Japan, it is located very close by and has many fun attractions. The nearby Tempozan Harbor Village has the world's largest aquarium, Kaiyukan, and the large shopping center, Tempozan Marketplace, so the whole family can enjoy it.

Hotel Seagull Tempozan Osaka

1-5-15, Kaigan dori, Minato-ku,

  • Near Universal Studios Japan, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, and Osaka Castle

  • If you're planning on visiting USJ, then the official hotel is perfect. USJ is right in front of you. There is also a shopping center and restaurant area at the foot of the hotel, and the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan is across the street, so you can stroll around and dine freely. The Chuo subway line is the closest line, so if you take it, you can get to Morinomiya Station, which overlooks Osaka Castle, without having to transfer.

Hotel Kintetsu Universal City

6-2-68, Shimaya, Konohana-ku

  • A hotel close to Universal Studios Japan

  • Since you're going to USJ, how about Hotel Kintetsu Universal City? It's only a one-minute walk from USJ. Another Osaka tourist spot is the Abeno Harukas observation deck. It's about a 25-minute train ride from the hotel. Tsutenkaku is also nearby, so you can enjoy the view from both observation decks. Your 4-year-old child will probably be happy. There's also Tennoji Zoo, so the whole family can have fun.

Agora Place Osaka Namba

1-9-7, Sennichimae, Chuou-ku

  • Affordable and convenient hotel for sightseeing

  • It is a 5-minute walk from Namba Station on the subway. It is located right in the middle of Namba, so it is perfect for sightseeing. It is a 30-minute subway ride to Kaiyukan, and within walking distance to Namba Grand Kagetsu, famous for Yoshimoto Shinkigeki, so you will have no trouble sightseeing. The room is spacious and has a 140cm twin bed, and the co-sleeping room is free. Even with breakfast included, you can stay cheaply on weekdays.

Toyoko Inn Osaka JR Noda Station

2-2-2,Yoshino Fukushima-ku

  • Combine it with KidZania Koshien

  • A 4-year-old is in the youngest class at kindergarten. I think that each child has different interests, but there are quite a lot of people who go to both Kidzania Koshien, which is located on the Koshien side, and USJ. It's definitely a good idea for a 5-year-old, but it may be too early for a 4-year-old. If you combine it with Kidzania, this hotel is recommended in terms of train transfers, as it is convenient to both the Hanshin or JR Koshien Station and the USJ Station.

Hotel Bali Tower Tennoji

8-1 Hidenincho, Tennoji-ku

  • How about a Balinese resort?

  • After visiting USJ, why not stay at a Balinese-style resort hotel? It's located in Tennoji. It's a little independent guest cottages from USJ, but if you use Tennoji as your base, you can easily access anywhere by subway. If you want to have fun with your children, I recommend Kaiyukan. The surrounding fashion buildings, including Harukas, are sophisticated around Tennoji, so even just window shopping is fun. Tennoji Zoo is also recommended.
