  • Rest Inn Taga
  • I want to try caving! Please tell me recommended spots near the Kansai region and nearby accommodations (with large public baths).

I want to try caving! I want to refresh myself in a bath after I'm tired, so I would appreciate it if you could tell me about a place to stay that has a large public bath. Please let me know a place that is cheap, clean, and that I can make a reservation for now. I'd like to stay in a place near the Kansai region.

Rest Inn Taga

Binmanji Nishitani 66-36

  • Hotels with large public baths recommended for caving in Taga Town

  • You can go caving in Taga Town, Shiga Prefecture. We recommend the hotel "Rest Inn Taga." It is located about 1 km or 13 minutes on foot from Taga Taisha-mae Station on the Omi Railway Taga Line. It is adjacent to a service area on the outbound side of the Meishin Expressway (towards Nishinomiya). Meals are not provided, but you can eat at nearby service areas. The hotel also has a large public bath where you can relax and unwind.

KAMENOI HOTEL HIKONE

3759 Matsubaracho, Hikone

  • I recommend Kawachi Fuana in Shiga Prefecture.

  • Kawachi Fuana in Shiga Prefecture is recommended for caving (cave exploration). It is a spot where even beginners can enjoy caving safely. For accommodation, we recommend Kamenoi Hotel Hikone, which is easily accessible from Kawachi Fuana. It is equipped with the large public bath you requested. You can stretch your legs in the bath and relax to relieve your fatigue.

Shinkan

Muraoka-ku Osasa 748

  • An inn in the heart of Hachikita Plateau

  • A tour group called "AOITORI" offers a tour into a dark cave made of bedrock from an old coal mine. Ryokan (Japanese inn) does not have a hot spring, but since it is a ski resort inn, it has a large free-flowing bath. You can also enjoy the homey atmosphere of this family-run Ryokan (Japanese inn).

Oyado Kisaku

  • Delicious, affordable accommodation with hot springs

  • The food, which is made with local ingredients, is the best! Abalone, local fish sashimi, Kumano beef, and the smooth hot springs are also popular. At this time of year, you can enjoy wild grouper dishes, which is the best. There is also a hot spring, and the price is relatively cheap. There is Tozui Cave nearby, so even beginners can enjoy caving.
