For women, there is a large indoor bath that is connected to Mixed-Gender Hot Springs outdoor bath, which can also be used directly. There is also a separate large public bath for men and women, with natural hot spring water. There is utase-yu（a stream of hot water falling down on your shoulders like a small waterfall）, a bubble bath, and another large outdoor bath, and the men's and women's baths are switched on a timed basis, so you can use both. The food is kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）, with a menu that changes with the seasons, and in the morning the red miso soup made with Lake Shinji clams and medicinal rice porridge are delicious.

• I heard that the name Tamazukuri comes from the fact that agate (major stones?) were produced in this area a long time ago. Perhaps that's why the baths here have agate stones embedded in them, which makes them look very mystical. They also have great beauty benefits. • I stayed here in the cold month of December. The staff were very hospitable and I had a very enjoyable time. The open-air​ ​hot spring was clean and deep, so I was able to soak in it thoroughly. The quality of the spring water was also good. I stayed here on a budget, but I was more than satisfied with the price.
