• This hotel is within walking distance of JR Echigo Yuzawa Station. You can see the mountains of Echigo from the hot spring. There are two open-air baths. Even the standard type rooms are spacious, with 8 tatami mats, a spacious veranda, and a two-room floor. Meals are basically seafood.

• Although it is an inn with a homely atmosphere, the baths are very substantial, with four open-air baths, two indoor baths, a cauldron bath, a sauna, a private bath, and an open-air bath attached to the guest room. The meals are delicious, with local mountain produce from Niigata, seafood directly delivered from the Sea of Japan, and rice cooked with authentic Koshihikari rice.

• This hotel is easily accessible, within a 10-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Station. A shuttle service is also available. Parking is free, so we recommend coming by car. The hot spring has an indoor bath made of marble and an open-air bath made of rocks. The open-air bath is impressive, with the source spring flowing like a waterfall. Bathing while watching the snow is extremely pleasant. For meals, you can enjoy local ingredients such as sukiyaki made with local Uonuma vegetables and Echigo beef. The rice is Koshihikari from Uonuma. It is also conveniently located close to the ski resort.

• It's conveniently located within walking distance of Echigo Yuzawa Station, making it perfect for visiting the hot spring town and visiting the hot Visiting hot springs. It seems to have been renovated, and has a clean, modern Japanese atmosphere. The hot spring was a semi-open-air bath, and was a little warm, so I was able to take a long, relaxing bath. Dinner was a Japanese-based course, and breakfast was a Japanese Buffet. The tatami-floored interior was also comfortable and recommended.

• "Otowaya" is less than 10 minutes walk from Yuzawa Station. There is a private open-air bath, but it costs extra. It is a small Ryokan (Japanese inn) with 16 rooms. Dinner can be served in your room, which may be convenient for families.
