Onyado Tsutaya

Fukushima 5162

  • A traditional Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn)

  • "Tsutaya" is a traditional Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Kiso Fukushima Onsen, with a nice atmosphere and a retro and stylish appearance. The two-meal kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )includes a taste of Shinshu, and it was luxurious to be able to taste Shinshu salmon, Shinano snow trout, and other Shinshu delicacies. The hot spring has a wonderful open-air bath overlooking the Kiso River, and the wooden structure gives it a tasteful atmosphere, allowing you to feel the Japanese chic.

Hotel Fukinomori

  • The large bath and open-air bath made of Kiso cypress are appealing

  • The attraction of this inn is the large bathhouse, made with Kiso cypress. The large bathhouse, filled with the scent of cypress, is extremely relaxing. There is also a private family bath and a private open-air bath with a view, so you can enjoy a variety of hot springs. A lot of Kiso wood is used inside the inn, so you can feel the warmth of the wood. There is even a wooden fan made from a single piece of wood, which I think is an experience that can only be had at this inn. The food is sourced from ingredients mainly from the Kiso region of Nagano Prefecture, and was visually gorgeous and delicious.

Tsutaya Tokyo

  • A luxury lodge where you can experience the Japanese countryside

  • How about "Tsuyaya Tonoyado Kazezato"? It is a luxury inn where you can experience the Japanese countryside. It is located about 30 minutes by shuttle bus from Kiso Fukushima Station. You can see Mt. Ontake from the terrace, and at night you can see the starry sky. There is a large bath and an open-air bath. For meals, you can enjoy Japanese kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )that includes vegetables from the Shinshu Plateau.

  • Kiso Oedo Oedo Onsen Monogatari

  • This is an inn in the Oedo Onsen Oedo Onsen Monogatari located in Kiso, Nagano Prefecture. They also provide a shuttle service, so it's a great base for foreign tourists. The open-air garden bath with a great view surrounded by nature is truly Breathtaking view! The indoor bath was also spacious and had a great view. The food is a creative Buffet, and depending on the season you can even eat crab.

Kisoji no Yado Iwaya Hotel

  • Recommended accommodations in Kiso

  • This is a recommended Ryokan (Japanese inn) with hot springs in the Kiso area. It also offers a plan for staying in a independent guest cottages-like detached house that is limited to one group, which is recommended for large groups. From the open-air bath, you can see the clear waters of the Kiso River flowing below. For meals, you can eat kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )that makes use of local ingredients such as Shinshu premium beef and Shinshu salmon.

Nukumorino-yado Komanoyu

Fukushima 47-2

  • A hotel surrounded by the beautiful mountain village scenery of Kiso

  • You can soak in Kiso's own hot spring water. You can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons from the open-air bath. There is also an open-air herbal bath, and the herbal scent will blow away your fatigue. Wood is used abundantly in the building and bath, and it is surrounded by warmth, making you feel the richness of nature even inside the inn. The meals are Kiso local cuisine, which is sure to please foreigners. There is a menu of Kiso wagyu beef. On sunny days, there is also a free tour of the starry sky from Kibio Pass, which is 1,220 meters above sea level. Many of the accommodation plans are priced between 10,000 and 20,000 yen per person, and it is a recommended inn close to the post town filled with Kiso's history and culture.

Ryokan Yamakanoyu

  • A traditional Japanese inn where you can fully enjoy Japan

  • You can fully experience the Japanese atmosphere at this wooden Japanese-style inn. It's a little far, about 60 minutes by bus from Kiso Fukushima Station to Kaida Kogen Nishino, but it's accessible by public transport so it's not a problem. There are only eight rooms in total, so you can relax and enjoy your time. There are windows in the large bath from which you can see the outside scenery. On snowy days, you can enjoy the hot springs while watching the fantastic scenery. There are also private hot springs. All rooms have a view of Mt. Ontake and have sunken kotatsu tables.
