  • Hotel Sunvalley Nasu
  • I am looking for a hot spring inn near the Kanto region where I can bathe in a swimsuit.

I'm going on a trip with a foreign friend. I want to go to a hot spring, but he seems to be reluctant to bathe naked. Do you know of any inns with hot springs where you can bathe in a swimsuit? I'm going from Tokyo, so it would be great if it's near the Kanto region! Thank you!

Hotel Sunvalley Nasu

203 Yumoto, Nasu-machi

  • The heated swimming pool is fun

  • I went to Sun Valley Hotel as a child and had a lot of fun, but I think adults can enjoy it too. If you are coming from abroad, the experience of riding the Shinkansen will be a delight, and there is an amusement park (Nasu Highland Park) and a zoo (Nasu Animal Kingdom) near the hotel, so you can enjoy sightseeing there too!

Kinugawa Hotel Mikazuki

Kinugawaonsen Ohara 1400

  • There is a hot spring called "Opuro" where you can enter wearing a swimsuit.

  • If you're in the Kanto area, how about Nikko Kinugawa Hotel Mikazuki? This hot spring hotel overlooks the Kinugawa valley and is a 3-minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station. It also has a hot spring called "Opuro" where you can enter wearing a swimsuit. You can enjoy the great outdoors of Kinugawa and bathe in the bath as if you were in a pool. Dinner is a dinner Buffet with a focus on Japanese, Western and Chinese cuisine.

Ryugujo Spa Hotel Mikazuki Ryugutei

Kitahama1

  • A luxurious hotel where you can spend the whole day and enjoy the hot springs in your swimsuit

  • At Hotel Mikazuki, where everyone can enjoy themselves in their swimsuits, the hot spring is so spacious that it's as crowded as a swimming pool. There are both indoor and outdoor pools, and you can enjoy slides and a wide variety of things. The meals are buffet style, with freshly made hot meals and fresh seafood, so you can enjoy a trip that feels like you're at a resort.

Hakone Kowakien TEN-YU

1297 Ninotaira, Ashigarashimogun

  • This is the official hotel of Yunessun, a hot spring resort where you can enter in a swimsuit.

  • If you're looking for a place close to the Kanto region where you can bathe in a hot spring in a swimsuit, I think Yunessun is definitely fun. Yunessun's attached hotel, Tenyu, is a 20-minute bus ride from Hakone-Yumoto Station. There is also a shuttle bus from Gora Station, so it's easily accessible from Tokyo. All rooms have an open-air hot spring bath, so you don't have to go to the large public bath. Of course, there is a large public bath, and the Infinity Hot Spring on the 6th floor has a different feel to Yunessun. Dinner is a Japanese-Western fusion meal in the dining room. You can enjoy seafood such as abalone and spiny lobster, as well as fresh ingredients from the river and mountains.

Hakone Kowakien Mikawaya Ryokan

503 Kowakudani

  • Experience the Japanese atmosphere at Mikawaya Ryokan (Japanese inn)

  • If you are staying with friends from abroad, how about Mikawaya Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Hakone Kowakien? The onsen "Yunessun" is located next to the hotel, and you can enter in a swimsuit for free for two days if you choose a two-day plan! After playing, head to Mikawaya Ryokan (Japanese inn). The "Japanese" Ryokan (Japanese inn) building will be appreciated. The annex suite can accommodate up to five people, so it is recommended for trips with friends. The accommodation fee is a little high, but the entrance fee is included, so if you can stay in a Ryokan (Japanese inn) building that is a registered tangible cultural property for one night and two days, with meals included, how about a little luxury trip? Some Ryokan (Japanese inn) have private baths, so if you want to save money and get a room without a bath, it will be a little cheaper.
