Dogo Onsen Dogo Funaya

1-33 Yunomachi, Dogo

  • Recommended Ryokan (Japanese inn) for families

  • A recommended inn for families staying at Dogo Onsen is Funaya. It is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) in the historical and traditional Dogo Onsen. The size and atmosphere of the garden is truly overwhelming. We recommend the Setouchi Kaiseki plan, which makes use of local ingredients. The food you can enjoy leisurely in your room is carefully prepared and delicious, so you can enjoy it with your eyes as well. The hospitality is also excellent, so be sure to give it a try.

  • A quality hotel where you can enjoy Dogo Onsen

  • This hotel has a spacious large communal bath and a relaxing rock bath, so I highly recommend it. The rooms are spacious and reasonably priced, so I highly recommend it. The rooms are comfortable. You can enjoy the seafood and mountain produce from the Seto Inland Sea as well.

Dogo Onsen Dogo Prince Hotel

100 Himezuka, Dogo

  • There are various large baths and open-air baths.

  • "Dogo Prince Hotel" is a recommended hotel for a family trip to Dogo Onsen. The hot springs have a wide variety of open-air baths and large baths with different styles. The food was Japanese kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ), which looked gorgeous and tasted delicious. There are also kaiseki meals for children. Dogo Onsen in Matsuyama has many tourist attractions, such as Matsuyama Castle and the Botchan Train. If Visiting hot springs, I would definitely recommend visiting Dogokan.

Hanayuzuki

Dogoyuzukicho 4-16

  • A spacious open-air bath

  • If you're looking for a recommendation in Dogo Onsen, I recommend "Hanayuzuki." It's a 5-minute walk from Iyotetsu Goonsen Station. It's located close to the main building of Dogo Onsen. The rooms are Japanese-style rooms where you can relax, and some rooms have foot baths or open-air baths. The open-air rooftop bath on the 11th floor is spacious and has a great sense of openness. The meals are delicious, with Setouchi sea bream, Iyo beef, and sweet and tender pork interwoven with local ingredients.

Bettei Oborozukiyo

4-4 Dogo Sagidani-cho, Matsuyama-shi

  • A quiet, hidden inn in Dogo Onsen

  • This is a quiet Ryokan (Japanese inn) located in the hot spring town. The interior is Japanese-style yet incorporates Western comforts, and all rooms have an open-air bath. For meals, you can relax and enjoy gorgeous cuisine at the restaurant "Twenty-Three Nights." There is a free drink corner near the lobby, giving you the feeling of being in a villa.

Hotel Tsubakikan

5-32 Dogo Sagidani-cho, Matsuyama-shi

  • Classic and stylish lodging

  • The classical and spacious lobby was very impressive. There were many families with children, so it was a family-friendly inn. There was Buffet, but my family chose the kaiseki course. It was a very satisfying meal, with a lineup of local Iyo cuisine. There was also a naval drum show in the evening, and the whole family was moved by its power. It was a wonderful inn that had it all: delicious food, culture, and hot springs.
