  • Where can I find a lodging in Tamatsukuri Onsen where I can enjoy a charming indoor bath and which is also convenient for sightseeing?

married couple and I are thinking of going to Tamatsukuri Onsen. We heard that Lake Shinji is nearby and that it is a scenic hot spring area with the Tamayu River and other attractions, so we would like to stay at a Japanese-style inn with a scenic indoor bath. Please let us know your recommendations.

  • A hotel with an indoor bath in Tamatsukuri Onsen and close to tourist attractions

  • There are special rooms here with indoor open-air baths. These rooms are "Kotobuki no Ma" and "Tokiwa no Ma", and are located in a corner of Emperor Showa's mountain villa, Gozasho, where you can enjoy a private open-air bath with 100% natural hot spring. There is also Japan's largest Mixed-Gender Hot Springs open-air bath, "Ryugu no Yu", so please enjoy it. This is a very tasteful hot spring inn, so we are sure you will like it.

  • Museum-quality masterpieces and a large garden

  • I stayed in a special guest room with an open-air bath in independent guest cottages. However, some special rooms have a tasteful indoor bath, so I recommend it. The hotel is famous for its large garden where you can stroll and Japan's largest Mixed-Gender Hot Springs gender open-air bath, where you can bathe wearing a bathing suit. The Emperor's throne room, dining room, and corridors are decorated with many famous paintings by famous artists, making it museum-quality. The room I stayed in was made of fine wood such as cherry, cypress, and cypress, and was very spacious, and above all, it was surprisingly well-cleaned and comfortable. The food was also good, well-seasoned, and delicious.

  • A historic inn founded in the first year of the Meiji era

  • This inn was founded in 1868 and is a historic inn where many members of the imperial family, including Emperor Showa, have stayed. The large open Mixed-Gender Hot Springs bath, which is 120 tsubo in size and uses 100% natural hot spring water, is loved by people of all ages and genders for its mellow and gentle texture on the skin, and the skin remains moisturized for a long time after bathing.

  • Enjoy the atmosphere of Tamazukuri

  • This inn is an 8-minute taxi ride from Tamatsukuri Onsen Station, and offers a scenic view of 100% natural hot spring Shinji and the Tamayu River. The bath facilities include a private open-air bath with natural hot spring water, and the well-maintained space is a sight unique to this area. Of course, there is also an indoor bath, and you can enjoy a spacious and high-quality hot spring. You can enjoy dishes that make use of fresh local fish and seasonal ingredients, with a menu that changes monthly.

  • This inn has a quaint indoor bath and hot spring baths that are full of Japanese atmosphere.

  • Although it is famous for its open-air bath, the indoor bath is also charming and recommended. The large indoor bath, which also has a bubble bath, is tasteful and allows you to relax at your leisure. The private family bath is also an indoor bath. It is recommended for married couple to enjoy the beauty-enhancing waters of Tamatsukuri alone. You can relax in a room with a Japanese atmosphere. When I stayed there previously, I was served a clear soup of clams from Lake Shinji for dinner. They also served delicious kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )that made use of Shimane's specialty ingredients, such as Shimane Wagyu beef teppanyaki. I recommend this inn as it has a hot spring full of Japanese atmosphere.

  • A place where you can enjoy peace and relaxation

  • The view from the room was of the garden, and it was a very nice inn. There were no entertainment facilities in the building, so the atmosphere was relaxed and very nice. All the meals were delicately prepared and delicious. It had been a while since I had stayed at a Japanese inn.

  • A quiet and elegant Ryokan (Japanese inn) nestled in a 33 million square meter garden

  • This is a quiet and tasteful hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) located in a vast Japanese garden of 33 million square meters. In addition to the spacious mixed-gender Mixed-Gender Hot Springs-air bath, there are three large public baths and a private open-air bath. There are also rooms with open-air baths, making it the perfect place for married couple to relax.
