  • Ryokan Ibusuki training
  • Are there any accommodations in Ibusuki Onsen that have a shuttle bus to the Shinkansen station?

I'm going to Kagoshima on a business trip with Colleagues in the company. We're discussing whether to go to Ibusuki Onsen instead of Kagoshima city. However, since we've already bought our return Shinkansen tickets, it would be nice if there was a shuttle bus to Kagoshima Chuo Station. If there isn't, we're looking for a hotel with a shuttle bus that will allow us to return by Shinkansen. Please let me know your recommendations.

  • A hotel with a beautiful garden and a Japanese atmosphere

  • We recommend Ibusuki Onsen Ibusuki Shusuien. We provide a shuttle service to JR Ibusuki Station. This is a hot spring inn where you can feel the Japanese atmosphere as soon as you stand in front of the entrance. Looking out at the garden next to the lobby, you will feel that it was worth coming all the way there. The baths 100% natural hot spring, and the open-air rock bath at night is relaxing. The meals are full of tropical seafood and mountain produce, so you will be very satisfied.

  • There are no accommodations that offer shuttle buses to Kagoshima Chuo Station, so we had to go to Ibusuki Station!

  • Unfortunately, there are no inns that offer free shuttle buses to Kagoshima Chuo Station. In fact, some inns don't even offer shuttles to Ibusuki Station. You can travel between Ibusuki Station and Kagoshima Chuo Station by taking the local train. At Kyuka Mura, you can enjoy Ibusuki Onsen 's free-flowing spring water in the large indoor bath and the open-air bath with a close-up view of Kinko Bay, as well as a sand bath (990 yen per use). There is also a private semi-open-air bath. Dinner is a half-buffet style where you decide on a main dish and eat lots of local cuisine. Breakfast is a buffet with sweets and fruit, which gets you excited starting off with a healthy tropical breakfast.

  • Shuttle service available to Miyagahama Station

  • There is a shuttle service to Miyagahama Station (please contact us in advance), so it should be easy to get there. The view from the large observation bath at this inn is amazing, and you can see the horizon in a large panorama. It gives you a feeling of openness, so you will feel very relaxed.

  • Accommodation is cheap and transportation costs can be covered

  • I think the most convenient place for a shuttle service to Kagoshima Chuo Station is Ibusuki Station. However, it is only a 10-minute taxi ride from Ibusuki Station, and is available for One person. The price is reasonable and includes two meals. The accommodation is cheap, so you can budget for transportation, and the location makes it easy to travel by train.

Ibusuki Kaijyo Hotel

  • A recommended accommodation with good access to Ibusuki Onsen

  • There is a large public bath with a great view, and you can also enjoy a sand bath and a foot bath. You can relax both body and mind, and enjoy delicious cuisine made with fresh seafood. You can fully enjoy the resort atmosphere, and you will surely create fond memories. There is no shuttle bus, but there is a local bus to JR Ibusuki Station, so access is good.

Ibusuki Phoenix Hotel

  • If you make a reservation in advance, you can be picked up and dropped off at Ibusuki Station.

  • The hotel is located on the seafront and is about a 10-minute drive from Ibusuki Station, but if you make a reservation in advance, they can provide a shuttle to the station. The rooms have large windows that open up, giving a bright atmosphere, and you can enjoy a tropical ocean view. Depending on your budget, you can also stay in a resort-style room with a private open-air bath and terrace. At this hotel, you can enjoy both a sand bath and a free-flowing hot spring. After the bath, you can also receive a beauty treatment or foot reflexology. Dinner is a multi-course meal using Kagoshima specialties, including delicious black beef, black pork, and spiny lobster.

Kagoshima Sunamushionsen Ibusuki Hakusuikan

  • The pick-up service is limited to JR Ibusuki Station.

  • People from other prefectures may think that Ibusuki is close to Kagoshima city because it is one of Kagoshima most famous hot spring, but it is about 50 kilometers away from Kagoshima Chuo Station, so it would be difficult to arrange a shuttle service. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours by train from JR Ibusuki Station to Kagoshima Chuo Station, and there is one train per hour, so I recommend calculating the time backwards before making your reservation. If you explain the situation to the hotel, they will be able to send you off on time. I think it is safer to take the train than to go to Kagoshima Chuo by car, as you can predict the time.
