  • What are some recommended accommodations in Awara Onsen where you can watch Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) process?

I am planning to go to Awara Onsen with pay next time. Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) I would like to see what it is called, is there a place to stay where I can take a tour? If not, I would like to know hot spring where I can enjoy Awara Onsen 's specialties!

  • Fukui's specialty "crab full course"

  • Although you cannot observe Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.), this is a recommended inn where you can enjoy a full course meal of Fukui's specialty crab. You can enjoy a total of 10 courses, including boiled crab, sashimi, grilled crab, and crab hotpot. How about relaxing in the mellow hot spring water and enjoying Fukui's specialty "crab feast"?

Awara Onsen Mimatsu

26-10 Funatsu, Arawa-shi

  • This is one of the most luxurious, long-established inns in Awara Onsen.

  • Although you cannot observe Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) spring massage, this is one of the most luxurious and long-established inns in Awara Onsen. The baths are wonderful, and the large hot spring bath "Taiyoden" that embraces the corridor garden is an amazing retractable dome type. The dome opens according to the season and time of day, blending with the light, breeze, and seasonal changes, allowing you to experience the true essence of Awara Onsen, a famous hot spring resort. The food, service, and atmosphere are all of high quality.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Awara

48-10 Futaomote, Awara-shi

  • You can enjoy Awara's famous hot springs at a reasonable price.

  • This inn is recommended because it offers reasonable accommodation. It is equipped with a large public bath, a cypress bath, an open-air bath, and other hot spring facilities, allowing you to fully enjoy Awara's famous hot springs. The meals are very popular, featuring seasonal and local ingredients. However, I think it would be difficult to Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) in Awara Onsen.

Haiya

2-205 Onsen, Awara-shi

  • A lodging where you can enjoy local cuisine in Awara Onsen

  • Although there is no Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.), how about Haiya? You can enjoy Echizen local cuisine that is unique to Awara Onsen. If you're going to Awara Onsen, you might as well try something that you can only get at Awara Onsen. Enjoy the local cuisine while soaking in the Awara hot springs.

Hotel Yagi

4-418 Awarashi Onsen

  • An inn where you can enjoy natural hot springs at Awara Onsen

  • This is a hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) with an indoor bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna in Awara Onsen. The baths are filled with natural hot spring water from the inn's own source, so the water is fresh and recommended. The view of nature from the open-air bath is also beautiful. Massage chairs are available for free, so they are also recommended for relaxation after bathing. Internet access is also available in the rooms, which is convenient. For meals, you can enjoy fresh crab with tags attached, which is recommended. Kusatsu is famous for Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.), and although there is no Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) experience, the quality of the hot spring water is excellent, so please stay there.

Yuraku Hotel

Funazu 2-15

  • A hotel with easy access to Awara Onsen Yunomachi Square and Yukemuri Yokocho

  • Awara no Kakure-yado Yuraku is about a 10-minute drive from Awara Onsen Station, and a free shuttle bus is available. The bright, clean Japanese-style rooms have a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel has a spacious, open-air garden bath where you can enjoy 100% natural hot spring. There are also private baths available for private bathing. Dinner is kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )featuring fresh seafood from Echizen, including authentic Echizen crab, sweet shrimp, yellowtail, and abalone. For meat lovers, we recommend the plan that includes Wakasa beef. Awara Onsen Yunomachi Hiroba and Yukemuri Yokocho are just a short walk away from this inn, so you can enjoy the unique atmosphere of Awara Onsen.

  • This hotel has a large public bath with 100% natural hot spring, and an open-air bath with 100% natural hot spring. There are a variety of baths available, including Lying-down bath and single-person baths. Dinner is kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ), and you can enjoy freshly prepared food. Awara Onsen Grabate

8-1 Tanakanaka, Awara-shi

  • You can enjoy seafood to your heart's content

  • I don't know of any inns in Awara Onsen where you can watch Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.), but I can recommend this inn, where you can fully enjoy the seafood that Awara Onsen is proud of. There is also a plan that allows you to fully enjoy seasonal seafood for around 10,000 yen per person. For breakfast, you can enjoy Awara Onsen's specialty, hot spring egg on rice.

Hananoyado Fukuju

4-801 Onsen, Awara-shi

  • The inn boasts pure hot spring water

  • I don't think there was Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.) here, but the spring quality was very good. The hot spring has a pH value of 7.2, which is slightly alkaline, so it is safe for children. After the bath, you feel warm and your skin feels smooth. This is something that is unique to Kurokawa Onsen.

Seifuso

3-803 Onsen, Awara-shi

  • An inn with an attractive large open-air bath

  • "Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.)" is a custom that originates from Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma Prefecture, so this is a big misunderstanding. It seems that there is no such custom in Awara Onsen. Where did they go wrong? I'm very curious as to how they got there. If you'd like to try a unique bath at Awara Onsen, why not stay at "Seifuso", which has one of the best garden open-air baths in the Hokuriku region? I'm sure you'll enjoy a bath that you can only experience here.

Echizen Awara Onsen Onsen Tsuruya

温泉4丁目601

  • You can relax in open-air bath, garden bath, indoor bath, and Lying-down bath.

  • If you are in Awara Onsen, how about "Tsuruya"? Located in the center of the hot spring town, this is a hot spring inn for adults built in a pure Japanese-style Sukiya style. There are 23 guest rooms, all with different styles, and some rooms even have an open-air bath (flowing directly from the source). The hot spring 100% natural hot spring and you can relax in the open-air bath, garden bath, indoor bath, and Lying-down bath. Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.), you can enjoy a creative kaiseki meal made with seasonal ingredients that changes monthly, a kaiseki meal with Wakasa beef fillet steak, or a winter kaiseki meal with Echizen local crab in your room. Unfortunately, they do not offer hot spring massage, but you can still enjoy a relaxing time.
