  • This is a long-established hot spring inn that was founded over 300 years ago.

  • The manners and work attitude of the employees are outstanding. But that's not all. There are two large baths: "Hikoboshi" made entirely of cypress, and "Orihime" made of black granite. Each has a large indoor bath, a rock-built open-air bath, and a sauna. The hotel is committed to using only locally produced food. This includes not only the ingredients, but also condiments such as soy sauce, salt, and miso, fresh local vegetables, and eggs. That's why the Shimane Wagyu beef, Matsuba crab, blackthroat seaperch, white squid, and Lake Shinjishishi clams are all excellent.

  • Enjoy a breakfast Buffet at Tamatsukuri Onsen

  • This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) located in Tamatsukuri Onsen, south of Lake Shinji. Women can choose their favorite flower yukata at the flower yukata corner in the lobby. You can also enjoy the beautiful black granite indoor bath, the open-air bath, and the large bath that is made entirely of cypress, even to the bottom of the bathtub. Dinner is kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )using Shimane Wagyu beef, Oki Matsuba crab, Nodoguro seabass, white squid, and other dishes, and breakfast is a Buffet with a wide variety of dishes, including special pancakes made with the Shiraishi family's original brown sugar syrup.

  • There is a large covered open-air bath.

  • How about "Shiraishi-ya"? If you contact them in advance, they will conveniently arrange a pick-up service from Tamatsukuri Onsen Station. You can also borrow a flower yukata, which is popular among women, for free. The bath water is gentle on the skin and has a high moisturizing effect. There is also a spacious, covered open-air bath that is fine even if it rains. For meals, you can enjoy Izumo pork Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot)-shabu, summer vegetable tempura, Izumo soba, and other ingredients from Sanin.

  • A hotel with a large open-air bath in Tamatsukuri Onsen

  • There is a free rental service for colorful yukatas for women only, which is sure to please any woman. The hot springs are from Tamatsukuri Onsen, which is said to have skin-beautifying properties, so it's worth going just for that, but it's also fun to take a bath in the open-air bath while watching the seasonal scenery. For food, you can eat kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal ingredients from Sanin, such as Oki Matsuba crab and Nodoguro seabass.

  • The exterior and interior of the building have a calming, traditional Japanese atmosphere.

  • If you're in Tamatsukuri Onsen, why not try Shiraishi-ya? It's a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that has been in business for about 300 years. Both the exterior and interior of the building have a relaxing, purely Japanese atmosphere. The hot spring is a natural hot spring with moisturizing effects, and you can relax in the all-cypress bath and black granite bath. Breakfast is made with local ingredients. The inn's original special pancakes and freshly made scrambled eggs are very popular.

  • Dinner packed with local ingredients is very satisfying

  • I recommend "Tamatsukuri Onsen Shiraishi-ya." For dinner, we chose the seafood plan and the Buffet plan for breakfast. At this time of year, the dinner was full of crab, which was very satisfying. The indoor bath and the open-air bath are spacious and open, and the space is full of Japanese atmosphere.

  • Enjoy a full breakfast Buffet

  • We recommend "Shiraishi-ya." This 300-year-old Ryokan (Japanese inn) is decorated with flowers and offers warm hospitality. The hot springs are made entirely of ancient cypress, even down to the bottom of the bathtub. For dinner, you can enjoy a kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )meal made with Shimane's three major brand ingredients. Breakfast is Buffet, and you can eat to your heart's content with the inn's signature dishes, such as homemade pancakes, clam porridge from Lake Shinji, and squid ink black curry.

  • This is a great value inn in Tamatsukuri Onsen!

  • The guest rooms are Japanese-style, and all have a bright and calming atmosphere. There is a spacious indoor bath and an open-air bath on the first and second floors, as well as a sauna and a jacuzzi. You can enjoy Tamatsukuri Onsen, which is famous for its "beauty-skin baths," to your heart's content. The inn offers a free rental service for colored yukata, so if you ask at reception desk, you may be able to stroll around the hot spring town in a yukata of your choice. You'll be able to take some instagrammable worthy photos. If you contact them in advance, they will provide a shuttle from Tamatsukuri Onsen Station, so access is not bad.

  • The hot springs were amazing, definitely worth a visit!

  • I stayed here in the cold month of December. The staff were very hospitable and I had a very enjoyable time. The open-air hot spring was clean and deep, so I was able to soak in it thoroughly. The quality of the spring water was also good. I stayed here on a budget, but I was more than satisfied with the price.

  • Local vegetables and fresh fish

  • kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )based on locally grown seasonal vegetables is served, and seafood caught in the Sanin region is also available. The local vegetables are fresh and have a deep earthy flavor, and the plump fish is very chewy. The hot spring has a large cypress bath, which is even used at the bottom of the tub. It always gives off a fresh scent, and the relaxing effect of soaking in the bath is even greater. The rooms are bright and have an interior that allows you to relax and unwind.
