- We recommend Maki Onsen in Yamanashi Prefecture, where you can relax independent guest cottages from the city. The inn is built in the traditional Japanese Sukiya style, and all rooms have a soothing open-air cypress bath. It is a very quiet hot spring inn surrounded by beautiful mountain village scenery. It is Ryokan (Japanese inn) where you can take a break from your stress. It is a little independent guest cottages from the city, but the air feels fresher. You can't see Mt. Fuji in its entirety, but there are places where you can see it when the weather is good.
