Ryokan (Japanese inn) you can enjoy hidden hot springs
- Surrounded by the lush nature of Chitose, Hokkaido, this is an inn run by the Japan Society for the Preservation of Secret Hot Springs. It is a rare type of natural hot spring that gushes out from under your feet, even in Japan. It is in a great location, with a view of Lake Shikotsu from the open-air bath.

The open-air bath with Breathtaking view of the lake is highly recommended.
- Located on the shore of Lake Shikotsu, the open-air bath offers a panoramic view of the lake. It seems to be effective in relieving fatigue, so it helped me to ease my travel fatigue. There are rooms facing the lake and the mountains, and I chose the lake, so I could see the lake from the window. In the evening, I enjoyed a simple meal of delicious local rainbow trout, mushrooms, and vegetables, along with local sake, Japanese hearth. The ingredients were good, so it was delicious.

The open-air bath here is amazing.
- One night in Hokkaido is a little lonely, but I recommend Marukoma Onsen Ryokan (Japanese inn), which is close to Chitose Airport and has good transportation access. It is a quiet inn that is also a member of the Japan Association for Preserving Secret Hot Springs. The natural open-air bath is connected to Lake Shikotsu and is worth experiencing at least once. It's better to stay for a few nights and relax, so you can get a feel for Hokkaido.
