- If you're traveling with two girls and want to enjoy Gero Onsen, we recommend Yamagataya. This is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that has been in business continuously since the first year of the Bunka era in the Edo period. Yamagataya is a member of Ryokan (Japanese inn) that are eligible for the Yumeguri-Tegata (the bathing ticket which can use for other hot spring facility). The inn has a spacious large bath and an open-air bath, where you can enjoy the hot springs while watching the murmuring of the Hida River and the Hida mountains. There is a rental service for colorful yukata, so you can take instagrammable worthy photos. For dinner, you can enjoy kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with seasonal ingredients from the Hida region. The inn is just a two-minute walk from the hot spring town, making it an ideal place for sightseeing and hot spring touring.
