- For Awara Onsen, how about “Tsuruya”? It is a Ryokan with hot springs for adults in a purely Japanese style sukiya-style building, which located in the center of the hot spring resort area. All 23 guest rooms are Japanese-style rooms with different tastes, and some of them have the open-air bath(100% natural hot spring). About Onsen, it is 100% nature hot spring which you can relax in open-air bath, the bath with Japanese garden, indoor bath, lying-down bath, etc. For the meals, that served in your room include a monthly special kaiseki (A traditional Japanese multiple course meal) which using seasonal ingredients, kaiseki with Wakasa beef fillet steak, and a winter kaiseki set meal of Echizen jigani crab. Unfortunately, there is no service of Yumomi (A technique in which a board approximately 180cm long is placed in the hot spring to stir the water and lower the temperature until it is ready to bathe.), however I'm sure you will enjoy the travel.
