  • The open-air bath at Karinyu is the best

  • I recommend Karinyu in Okukinu Onsen. We went there with the family. It's secluded and quiet, the cloudy water is great, and the service at the inn is also good. There are several types of hot springs, and the open-air bath in the middle of nature, full of Japanese atmosphere, was open and relaxing. The various meals were also delicious. It's a little independent guest cottages, but it was very relaxing. I'd like to stay at this inn again.

  • open-air bath at Okukinu hot spring are the best

  • Further into Nikko is Okukinu Onsen Sakai. From there, you can get there by a bus for guests only, which takes about 30 minutes. By the way, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to walk there. There are two types of hot spring water here: cloudy water that flows directly from the source and clear water, and there are about 5 types of indoor baths and Mixed-Gender Hot Springs outdoor baths, so you can bathe in multiples. Of course, there are also private family baths available for those who are embarrassed about Mixed-Gender Hot Springs, so you can rest assured.
