- We recommend Kaisenkaku, located close to hot spring Onsen Station in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture. It's amazing to see the sun slowly sink into the bay as you gaze out at the expansive Mutsu Bay from open-air bath. Accommodation fees are higher during Obon, the New Year's holidays, and early August when the Nebuta Festival takes place. Prices are much cheaper off-season.
