Recommended hotels for viewing the Kyoto Gozan no Okuribi Fire Festival
- If you want to see the Okuribi for less than 8000 yen, I recommend this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable. You can see the Okuribi in the mountains in the north of Kyoto. This hotel is located north of Kyoto Station, so I think it's okay. I recommend a room on a high floor if possible.

Maybe it's because you can see Kyoto no Okuribi fires from your hotel room.
- The recommended hotel is a so-called business hotel. This class is within 8,000 yen. It is about 150 meters on foot from Hankyu Shijo Kawaramachi Station, so it is very accessible. You can barely see the Kyoto no Okuribi fires from the upper floors.

You can probably see the bonfire from your room at this hotel.
- If you want to see the Gozan no Okuribi, it's probably best to go further north in Kyoto City. The mountains are mostly lined up on the northern edge of the Kyoto Basin. This hotel is located north of Kyoto Station, so you can see the Okuribi, although not all of them. Since it's a famous hotel in the downtown area, you may need to make a reservation early.

A hotel near Kawaramachi with convenient transportation
- If you want to see a wide range of shrines and temples, I recommend the area along Kawaramachi from Sanjo to Shijo, which has good transport links. There are plenty of train and bus services, and it's the busiest area in Kyoto, so you'll have no shortage of food and ways to kill time. However, if you're coming by car, I wouldn't recommend this place, but if you're not, this is a good choice.
