- This hotel is located in a magnificent location surrounded by the beautiful Sea of Japan, Mount Iwaki, the Tsugaru Fuji, and the Shirakami Mountains, a World Heritage Site. I was told that I could see the sunset from my room at around 5:30, and I was able to see a truly beautiful sunset. The meal included a menu of local dishes, which was very satisfying. It is also within easy reach of Kikutani Shoten, so I could easily meet Wasao (the Akita dog Wasao has passed away, but there is a panel of him). I also enjoyed the free shamisen live performance, hearing the Tsugaru dialect.
Answered question: Are there any lodgings where you can watch the sunset over the ocean while soaking in hot spring?
