If you're going with friends, Yukai Resort is a good choice, as it has a buffet and table tennis!
- This hotel has a main building and an annex, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. I recommend the annex, which has an open-air bath. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style, just like in the main building. It also has the same facilities as the main building, such as table tennis, billiards, a games corner, and karaoke. Parking in the annex is a little inconvenient. However, the annex has an open-air bath. There are large public baths for men and women, an open-air bath, and a sauna, making it a well-equipped facility. There are also plenty of free soft drinks and desserts. All this comes to around 10,000 yen per person.

Large public bath, open-air bath, sauna, breakfast and dinner Buffet available, perfect for solo travelers!
- To begin with, there are few lodgings that allow solo travelers. Lodgings at Yukai Resort are slightly more expensive, but they do allow solo occupancy. There is a large public bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna, and both the bath and sauna can be used for a long time, excluding cleaning times. I doubt there is any other place where you can use the sauna for such a long time. The massage chairs after a bath are a nice touch. The breakfast and dinner Buffet include fair dishes in addition to the regular menu for dinner. There are also plenty of free soft drinks and desserts. In the morning, the place is bustling with breakfast staples, local ingredients such as grilled fish and eggs, and freshly picked vegetables and fruit.

Yukai Resort Hotel in Gero
- This is a Yukai Resort hotel with good value for money and reasonable prices. You can enjoy table tennis with friends at this hotel, and there is also karaoke, billiards, go, shogi, mahjong, and a manga corner. And the prices are great. Meals are served buffet style, with a wide variety of dishes and local cuisine. The hot spring water is of good quality and is extremely clean. The open-air bath and indoor bath are spacious and have a good atmosphere. The room amenities are all you need, and there are Japanese-style rooms as well as Western-style rooms. The customer service is also good. Yukai Resort has another hotel in Gero, but this one is near the center of Gero Onsen and the other is in the direction of JR Gero Onsen Station, so we recommend this one.

I recommend Yukai Resort.
- If you are traveling solo to Gero Onsen and have a budget of around 10,000 yen per night, we recommend the "Yukai Resort Gero Saichoraku Annex." It is a popular hot spring resort.
- There are two Yukai Resorts in Gero, but I think this one is the better hotel. You can stay here comfortably even if you are alone. Of course, it costs around 10,000 yen. There are plenty of facilities to enjoy even if you are alone, such as baths and manga. It is popular, so I recommend making a reservation early.
