Sugatani Onsen is a hidden place where you have a high chance of seeing fireflies. You can see Genji fireflies. There is a quaint open-air bath, and the hot spring is effective for neuralgia, muscle pain, stiff shoulders, poor circulation, gastrointestinal disorders, and fatigue recovery. The meals are made with local ingredients and were delicious.

During the firefly season, guests who wish to stay will be taken to the nearby Amano Sake Brewery to see the fireflies. As you walk down the narrow alleys from the nearest station, wondering if the directions are really correct, you will come across the remains of the old entertainment district and a large pedestrian bridge over the river, and before you know it, you will arrive at the inn. The building has a simple exterior that sits quietly on top of a hill, but it has a nostalgic atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and meals are served in the room, so it is comfortable and relaxing for family.

There were fireflies flying around the hotel, and it was very fantastic. You can also take a bath in the hot springs. By car, it is 23 km from the Kainan IC, so it is close to Osaka, and you have plenty of time even after a short walk in Wakayama City.

I was able to enjoy a variety of dishes, including Hyogo Prefecture's famous Tajima beef and seafood bowls from the Sea of Japan.
