15 Shogoin Nakamachi, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto-shi

  • The glory of Shogoin Temple opening as Ryokan (Japanese inn)

  • Kyoto's Shukubo are open to the public, and the elegant gardens of Shogoin Temple attract the attention of tourists. It is also possible to stay overnight without meals, but please check with the lodging facility directly as this is a matter of consultation. Sanjusangendo Temple is within walking distance, and Heian Shrine and Ginkakuji Temple are also nearby. It is also wonderful to stroll around Higashiyama's Philosopher's Path and Shisendo Jozanji Temple, which have a stylish, wabi-sabi atmosphere.

  • Although reservations are required, the banquet hall has karaoke facilities, making it perfect for class reunions. The building has Japanese hearth and kotatsu tables in the winter, making it a recommended place to get together with club members for the first time in a while. There are also three soto-yu (public bathhouses) within a five-minute walk, so you can enjoy soto-yu.

964 Higashi-kawaramachi, Higashi-oji Nanajo-sagaru, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto-shi

  • Shukubo located near Sanjusangendo Temple

  • This is Shukubo lodging, so it's cheap but safe to stay at. It's in a great location right next to Sanjusangendo Temple, and there are many sights to see in the surrounding area. Although it's Shukubo, it has the facilities of a Ryokan (Japanese inn). Since there are five of us, I think we'll have a 10-tatami Japanese-style room. The bathroom is also very clean. It's a lodging without meals, but since it's a rare opportunity, why not try the delicious breakfast at Shukubo lodging? It's a very clean place, so I'd recommend it for groups of women.

3-9-6 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya-shi

  • Affordable hotel with good location

  • Located in the Sakae shopping district, it is in a very convenient location within walking distance of department stores and the underground shopping mall. Although it is in the middle of the shopping district, the noise is hardly an issue. The hotel and rooms are well-cleaned and the interior atmosphere is nice. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and the desks in the rooms are easy to use. Prices range from 3,000 to 8,000 yen, but if you decide early, you can get a very reasonable stay.

  • A modern Japanese-style inn with a comfortable atmosphere

  • Kawaichiya Ryokan (Japanese inn) is located in the center of Nozawa Onsen hot spring town, and its folk art-style interior will make you feel relaxed. Although the inn does not have any facilities, it is close to the downtown area and there are many karaoke booths in the surrounding area, making it the perfect place to have fun after relaxing in the hot spring. It will surely be a memorable reunion. The location is also convenient for Visiting hot springs, a specialty of Nozawa Onsen, so both men and women can fully refresh themselves in the hot spring.

9. Ikemoto

Toyosato 9603

  • There is karaoke equipment in the banquet hall, so you can have fun.

  • There aren't many inns in Nozawa Onsen that offer karaoke. You can sing karaoke at snack bars in hot spring town, but the "Kutsurogi no Yado Ikemoto" has karaoke facilities in the banquet hall, and you may be able to use the banquet hall for a group of about 10, so I recommend you inquire. I think you'll have a great time eating and singing karaoke in the banquet hall. If you want to sing more afterwards, it's a good idea to head out to hot spring hot spring town, as it's located close to the town.

410-3 Shimomaruya-cho, Sanjo-agaru, Kawaramachi dori, Nakagyo-ku

  • Stylish and affordable designer hotel

  • It's a designer hotel, and depending on the day, you can stay for under 7,000 yen without meals. There is a Japanese-style room for the 5-person room you requested. It's also convenient because it's a 4-minute walk from Sanjo Station, so if you forget something at the tournament, you can go back and get it right away. I'm not sure if there is a full-length mirror, but please ask the hotel. They may be able to provide one for you.

1-8-33 Sakae, Naka-ku

  • Affordable and comfortable hotel

  • It's much cheaper than your budget. The reason for the cheapest room is that the view from the window is not so good, it's small and old. It's true that the facilities are priced accordingly, but the view is no different from a normal city hotel. However, even the old rooms have humidifiers, which is rare and convenient. It's about one stop walk from Nagoya Station, but it's not that far, and I recommend it because you can use the hot springs almost 24 hours a day without extra charge. It's also convenient that you won't be scolded even if you walk around the building in slippers and yukata. If you don't like a small room, you can stay in a large and clean room for less than 10,000 yen by adding a little to your budget (my friend chose this one), so I think it's a great deal. By the way, the TV and hair dryer were upgraded in the clean room.

I'm sure it will be a fun reunion.

7-16, Tubaki-cho Nakamura-ku

  • Hotels near the Shinkansen exit of Nagoya Station

3-9-3, Nishiki Naka-ku

  • Budget hotel with breakfast

  • Considering meals and transportation, we recommend the Toyoko Inn Nagoya Nishiki, located in the center of Sakaemachi. It is about a 5-minute walk from Hisayaodori Station on the Sakuradori subway line, the third station from Nagoya Station. With breakfast included, it is well below the 10,000 yen budget. It is a budget hotel, so make sure to book early.
