「指宿ロイヤルホテル」には砂むし温泉はホテル内にはないですが、砂風呂がやっているところまでバスで無料送迎してくれるので特に問題はなかったです。ホテル内の大浴場や露天風呂も、お湯の質が良くて景色も良かったですよ。食事も美味しい焼酎に薩摩黒毛和牛のステーキなど、地元の食材を使った料理を堪能しました。

鹿児島中央駅までの無料送迎バスを出している宿は残念ながら有りませんね。指宿駅と鹿児島中央駅はローカル線の電車で移動してください。休暇村は指宿温泉の源泉掛け流しを大浴場の内風呂と錦江湾を間近に露天風呂から眺められるだけではなく、砂蒸し風呂（１回990円）も楽しめる。この他に貸切半露天風呂も有る。食事は夕食はメイン料理を決めて+ハーフビュッフェのスタイルで郷土料理を沢山食べられる。朝食はビュッフェにスイーツ&フルーツで朝から健康的な南国の朝食という感じでテンションが上がる。

指宿いわさきホテルは、温泉も楽しめ、海が見えるので、楽しめると思います。ホテルの中に砂風呂もあり、砂風呂のあとは海が見渡せる露天風呂に入るととても気持ちが良かったです。特に朝日を見ながら入るとよいです。食事もまあまあおいしくて、家族で楽しめるホテルです。

「夫婦露天風呂の宿」と銘打っていますが、べつに夫婦限定の宿というわけではありません。５人まで一緒に泊まれる部屋があり、宿泊料金もリーズナブルなので、おすすめの宿です。海沿いにあるので、客室からは鹿児島湾を一望できますよ。オーシャンビューをバックにきれいな写真も撮れると思います。予算次第では源泉かけ流しの露天風呂付き客室に泊まることもでき、プライベートな入浴を楽しめるとともに、記念撮影もできますね。温泉は源泉かけ流しで、２階には大浴場（内湯）があり、大海原を見渡せます。さらに９階に露天風呂があり、ここでは湯船の湯面と海の水面がつながって見えるインフィニティ感が体験できます。眼下には錦江湾があり、遠くには大隅半島や佐多岬が見えます。夕食は地元の旬の食材を生かした会席料理ですが、目の前で揚げてもらえるさつま揚げが熱々でとても美味しいですよ。この宿には展望デッキがあるので、写真を撮るスポットには事欠きませんし、目の前には砂浜、隣には砂むし温泉もあるので、ちょっと出かけて写真を撮ってくるのもよいと思います。
