  • This is a recommended hotel for those who want to eat udon for the trip!!

  • This hotel is conveniently located near downtown Takamatsu. They provide free coffee and breakfast, and they serve udon noodles, so it's great for trying different types of food. It's old but clean, and I was satisfied with the service at reception desk and the breakfast. I think this hotel offers great value for money.

  • If you are looking for a reasonable hotel with no Accommodation only included

  • When I went on a udon restaurant tour as a student, I stayed at a business hotel called "Takamatsu City Hotel," located about a 4-minute drive from JR Takamatsu Station. There was a surprisingly cheap plan for a room only stay. The facility is a little old, but it's close to the downtown area and has a Accommodation only lot, which is helpful.

1-2 Hyakken-machi, Takamatsu-shi

  • Japanese-style rooms available for overnight stays only, large communal bath available

  • Located in the center of downtown Takamatsu, it is also convenient to access famous night restaurants "Tsurumaru" and "Goemon". The rooms are spacious and there is a large public bath, so you can relax. If you check in early, you can choose your favorite pillow. It is quite cheap for four people. "Sakaeda" near the prefectural office is open from early in the morning, so try udon for breakfast.

  • You can stay for just 4,000 yen.

  • Hello. It's right in front of Ritsurin Garden. You can make a reservation online and stay for around 4000 yen. Of course, parking is available. The size of the room and the amenities are neither good nor bad. It's an ordinary business hotel. It's a good base for udon pilgrimage.

  • Walking distance to a delicious udon restaurant

  • Parking available. Large communal bath available. Best of all, there are four delicious udon restaurants within walking distance: Bakaichidai, Watanaya, Sakaeda, and God Hand. Visit them in the morning before checking out. Other than that, Takesei (parking available) is less than five minutes away by car, and Yamadaya (parking available) is about 15 minutes away. These two are also recommended as they are easily accessible by taxi.

  • The low price of the accommodation without meals is attractive.

  • The building is a little old, but considering the price, it's satisfactory. If you choose the Japanese-style room, four people can stay. The large rock-made bath is also relaxing and soothing. The price is cheap, but you can rest assured that amenities such as yukata are fully provided. It's right next to Ritsurin Garden, so it's easy to access, and you can rent a parking lot for free.

  • You can walk to a udon restaurant that is open at night.

  • It is located 5 minutes from Kotoden Kataharamachi Station, so you can have udon for breakfast or for a late-night snack. The roads are easy to find. If you are at Takamatsu Station, turn left as you face the sea, and if you are in the center where Mitsukoshi and the prefectural office are located, turn forward with your back to the sea. That's it. It is a convenient lodging with a reasonable budget. Nearby udon restaurants include "Udonbo" near Kataharamachi Station (Kasugamachi Market, Tsurumaru, Goemon), "Udonbo" near Kawaramachi Station, "Sakaeda" next to the prefectural office, and "Tamoya" in the direction of Takamatsu Port.

2-7 Nishiuchi-machi, Takamatsu-shi

  • The price for a room only is very reasonable!

  • Since the request was for a reasonably priced hotel with no meals included, how about "Palace Takamatsu" near Takamatsu Station? This is a hotel I often stayed at on business trips. It's close to the station and convenient for shopping. There is parking for about 10 cars, so it's a good idea to check and make a reservation. Speaking of "udon," I remember the udon I ate on board the "Utaka Ferry" (suspended in 2019).

  • It's close to downtown, but there's a parking lot with space for 100 cars.

  • This is a business hotel located in Kawaramachi, a downtown area of Takamatsu City, and I stayed there a few years ago when I was touring Sanuki udon. Because it is located in the downtown area, it was convenient and I didn't have any trouble finding somewhere to eat dinner. I stayed in a single room at the time, and I was able to enjoy a variety of breakfast options at no extra charge. At the time, it cost about 5,000 yen per night, but after searching online, I found that it was possible to stay in a single room for 4,680 to 5,280 yen per night. There is also a parking lot for 100 cars, on a first-come, first-served basis, and it costs 800 yen per night. For reference, other hotels only have about 10 to 30 cars, so it may be convenient to come by car.

  • A hotel with open-air bath with a great view

  • The large public bath and open-air bath have outstanding views, overlooking the Seto Inland Sea that spreads out before you. There are also private open-air bath available for rent, so you can enjoy a private bath. All guest rooms have an ocean view, and the large windows overlooking the sea are romantic. For dinner, you can choose between a buffet or kaiseki cuisine, depending on the plan. There are four types of kaiseki courses to choose from depending on your budget, and all plans feature delicious fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea. Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet.

  • It's close to a town with many restaurants, and the price is reasonable at around 4,000 yen. It's located near Hama-kaido (a four-lane road) on the east side of Takamatsu Station, so it's easy to get there by car. There are udon restaurants nearby, such as "Tamo-ya." If you go a little further east, you'll find restaurants such as "Yamadaya," near Yashima and Yakuri-ji Temple.

  • This is the closest hotel to Takamatsu Station. The price per person for a room only stay is reasonable. Of course, there is a parking lot, but I think it is also convenient for going on a udon tour by train from the station. The rooms are normal city hotels, but they are well-maintained, clean and comfortable.
