This is an inn where you can enjoy Gero Onsen, one of Japan's three most famous hot springs. As this inn is located on a hilltop, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the hot spring town from the large public bath and restaurant. You can also enjoy the alkaline simple hot spring water of "Bijin-no-yu (a hot spring of beauty) yu", which is soft and gentle on the skin, which is great for women, in the large public bath. As for meals, you can eat a wide variety of menus from Japanese to Western and Chinese food in Buffet style. There is also an all-you-can-drink (free) wide variety of soft drinks.

You take the elevator to the basement floor, and the moment you get in, you'll smell sulfur and get excited. The indoor bath is spacious and has plenty of places to wash. There is a little distance between the indoor bath and the open-air bath, but there are two hot springs with different water qualities. The open-air bath in front has "Yunohana" precipitated in it, so when you enter, the "Yunohana" floats around and the water becomes cloudy white!

The dinner Buffet plan, using high-quality ingredients, is delicious and luxurious. It is also covered by Yumeguri-Tegata (the bathing ticket which can use for other hot spring facility), and in addition to the large public bath, the quaint and relaxing open-air bath is also popular. The hotel is lively and well-equipped. Furthermore, the hotel is conveniently located for strolling around the hot spring town. Please enjoy the high-quality hot spring water and the delicious all-you-can-eat Buffet.

We had a wonderful view of the mountains from our Japanese-style room. open-air bath with the trees in front of you gave us the feeling of forest bathing, which was great. As it is part of the Oedo hot spring group, the buffet was very substantial. There was a wide variety of Japanese, Western, Chinese and sweets on the menu. The tempura was freshly fried in the live kitchen, and the steaks were also freshly grilled, which was very satisfying. Being able to choose the color of the yukata was also a nice service. There are also playful elements to this inn, so it's a fun place to stay.

We recommend Gero Onsen Suimeikan. Not only is this inn one of the member Ryokan (Japanese inn), but the inn itself has four accommodation buildings, three of which have their own hot springs with different characteristics, making it an attractive point. You can enjoy a quick hot spring tour experience within the same facility, with the open-air bath at Sansuikaku, the cypress bath at Rinsenkaku, and the large observation bath at Hisenkaku. The alkaline simple hot spring with a faint sulfur scent is gentle on the skin, and this is a recommended hot spring inn where you can feel the strong smoothness of your skin after bathing.

There is a plan where you can eat premium A5 Hida beef. All rooms have an open-air bath. Even the standard type room is 14 tatami mats in size and has a wide veranda, and all rooms are equipped with it. There is also a private bath that you can use only with your friends.

You can eat Hida beef at most lodgings in Hida Takayama. One of the most recommended is Hida Hanazato no Yu Takayama Ouan. Located just a 5-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, it offers fresh Hida beef and Hida Takayama local cuisine. There is also an open-air bath and a private bath on the top floor (13th floor) of the hotel, where you can enjoy the view of Takayama city and the Northern Alps.

This inn serves delicious Hida beef grilled on a hoba leaf. Hida beef is naturally delicious when eaten as is, but it is also exquisite when eaten with hoba miso, a local dish of Takayama. I think you can enjoy the local gourmet food. Also, perhaps because the water is clean in this area, the bread at breakfast is especially delicious and recommended. The hot springs are also great, as you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Northern Alps while soaking in the Tobida Takayama Onsen from the hotel's observation deck.

I recommend a resort hotel in Takayama. It's perfect for a hot spring trip for the two of you. You can enjoy A5-ranked Hida beef, and various cuts of it. You can choose from what you like, from yakiniku to Shabu Shabu（Japanese hotpot）, so it's a good idea to decide together with your partner. The hot spring is 100% natural, and there is a large bath and an open-air bath. There are no private baths.

Gero Royal Hotel Gattei boasts hot spring a large bath with a view, a hinoki cypress bath open-air bath, a garden with six hot water pots open-air bath, and two footbaths, etc. The ladies plan offers a free rental colored yukata, from which you can choose your favorite colored yukata from dozens of patterns. The meal plan also includes room service for kaiseki (a traditional Japanese multiple course meal) cuisine that makes the most of Hida beef and other seasonal Hida ingredients. The price is still less than 15,000 yen per night, so we recommend this hotel. Also, this hotel is eligible for the Yumeguri Teppo, but if you want to enter hot spring from another hotel, it is limited to 7:30-8:30, so I think you can enjoy the popular hot spring more slowly if you stay at this hotel.

Although it is a little outside the townscape of Takayama, it is a quiet and nice place. You will definitely feel free from the hustle and bustle of the city. As for the hot spring, the spring water is slippery and feels good. The room was of high quality and very satisfying. For meals, they also serve a special kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）featuring Hida beef, so please order it while you are on a trip.

If you are visiting Shinhotaka Onsen, I recommend "Hida Beef Inn." There are two open-air baths, a large public bath and a private one. The baths are filled with natural beauty and feel great. All guest rooms also have open-air baths with natural hot spring water. As the name of Ryokan (Japanese inn) suggests, you can enjoy Hida beef for meals. In addition to steaming Hida beef in a bamboo steamer and serving it Shabu Shabu（Japanese hotpot）style, we also recommend special-order sirloin steak, teppanyaki, and horumon hot pot.

If you're traveling with two girls and want to enjoy Gero Onsen, we recommend Yamagataya. This is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that has been in business continuously since the first year of the Bunka era in the Edo period. Yamagataya is a member of Ryokan (Japanese inn) that are eligible for the Yumeguri-Tegata (the bathing ticket which can use for other hot spring facility). The inn has a spacious large bath and an open-air bath, where you can enjoy the hot springs while watching the murmuring of the Hida River and the Hida mountains. There is a rental service for colorful yukata, so you can take instagrammable worthy photos. For dinner, you can enjoy kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with seasonal ingredients from the Hida region. The inn is just a two-minute walk from the hot spring town, making it an ideal place for sightseeing and hot spring touring.

For couples, we recommend "Ogawaya" in Gero Onsen. The rose bath is highly recommended. It's a setting that any woman would enjoy. For meals, you can choose the buffet for breakfast. You will be satisfied with both the quality and quantity.

Here you can enjoy the buffet meals you request. Although you will be dining at a sister hotel, you can enjoy a wide variety of Japanese, Western and Chinese cuisine. There is also an all-you-can-drink option, and an all-you-can-eat crab option. In the open-open-air bath, you can enjoy the starry sky while soaking in the hot water. This inn is located in the mountains of Oku-Hida, and you can enter by crossing a suspension bridge over the Kamata River. It's a bit thrilling. There are five open-air bath surrounded 360 degrees by the magnificent Nature of the Northern Alps, and all of them are 100% natural hot spring. The inn will lend you a special bathing suit for free. In addition to the open-air bath open-air bath for men and women only, there is also a rare open-air bath for mixed Mixed-Gender Hot Springs, where you can wear swimsuits and bath towels, so it will be a good memory to try it out. There is also a private open open-air bath, so you can enjoy hot spring with just your club friends. Dinner is kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）that makes use of seasonal ingredients from Oku-Hida, and in spring you can enjoy wild vegetables such as bracken and taros, and in summer you can enjoy trout sashimi and bone sake. The hot springs in the inn are 100% natural and can be used 24 hours a day. There is a large public bath with a great view and a private bath, and you can also use the baths at the sister hotel, Hotel Kusakabe Almeria. Dinner is a creative kaiseki meal made with local seasonal ingredients, and you can eat plenty of Hida beef. It is a very cost-effective inn, so I recommend it.
