It's about 16km from Kairakuen, so if you have a car, it's a place you can stop by on your way home. It's located right on the coast, and the view is amazing. A winter specialty is monkfish hotpot. The broth is made from miso with plenty of monkfish liver, so it has a rich flavor. The monkfish mixes with this rich broth to create an exquisite hotpot. The walls of the large bath are made of glass, so you can see the Pacific Ocean, and we enjoyed the hot springs while taking in the amazing view. They also have bicycles available for rent, so we recommend cycling along the coast. Enjoy a refreshing bike ride while feeling the sea breeze!
Answered question: I'm going to Kairakuen, one of Japan's three most famous gardens, and I want to stay at Ryokan (Japanese inn) where I can eat monkfish hotpot!

The view and the monkfish hotpot are recommended.

It's a short drive from Mito, and if you take the train to Oarai Station, there is also a shuttle bus. It's on a bit of a hill, so the view of the river flowing into the sea is very beautiful. You can see it well from the hot springs, which have a good view. Of course, the monkfish hotpot is also delicious. Since it's a "Kanpo no Yado", the price is reasonable and I was satisfied.

From now through the winter, you can enjoy delicious monkfish here. It's nice to be able to enjoy it with a miso flavor. The rooms are of a normal design, but they are well-cleaned, so you can stay there without worry. The next morning breakfast is also delicious and plentiful, so it gives you energy.
