  • This is a convenient inn for going to the Hiba Senninburo bath at Sukayu Onsen.

  • If you are looking for a convenient lodging to go to the Hiba Sennin Bath at Sukayu Onsen, how about this lodging? This is one of the largest Western-style wooden log resort hotels in Japan, and is a convenient starting point for going to the Hiba Sennin Bath. As for meals, you can choose between a full French course or a Japanese kaiseki meal, which are dishes that can only be enjoyed in Hakkoda. In addition, the hot spring is a self-100% natural hot spring, so it is recommended.

  • An inn with elegant hot spring and child-friendly services

  • Furnished with the interiors and amenities of a family-friendly hotel, this hot spring is the perfect place to enjoy hot spring and dining. There is teppanyaki with mountain and seafood with two meals, and children can also order a children's lunch. I think it's an easy hot spring inn to enjoy in family. hot spring has a splendid public bath. I think there is no doubt that you will be healed by the smooth spring quality water.

  • Please enjoy Secret hot spring.

  • Sarukura is also recommended near Sukayu, but it wasn't on my list of hotels to choose from, so I'll introduce Yachi hot spring, which is also highly recommended and has the Sandai Secret hot spring. This is also a historic inn, but if you're looking for hot spring this is the one to go for! By the way, the Senninburo bath at Sukayu Onsen has a women-only time. It opens at 8pm and you can also enter the men's area, so Sukayu Onsen is actually the most recommended. (There are other baths besides the Senninburo, and the food is great, so next time I'll definitely go to Sukayu Onsen.)

  • A hot spring inn surrounded by beech forests

  • If you're looking for somewhere other than Sukayu Onsen, I recommend Tsuta Onsen Ryokan (Japanese inn). It's a hot spring inn surrounded by beech forests, and nearby there are seven small ponds, large and small, called the Tsuta Nananuma. This hot spring is a historic hot spring that was discovered during the Heian period, and the source of the hot spring bubbles up from under your feet. The rooms are also retro and charming. It is said that the lyrics of Takuro Yoshida's hit song "Tabi no Yado" were also drafted here.

  • Bathing is a bit tricky

  • There's no need to be afraid of the Sennin-buro. Go in with enthusiasm. It's a mixed-gender bath, so buy a women's bath. The sulfur spring has a strong egg smell, so be aware of that. You can take the bath home with you. However, it's quite difficult to get rid of hot spring smell, so be careful. So, the hotel nearby... It's about a 5-minute drive away, but there were too many of us, so we just took a quick bath. There's a large public bath and an open-air bath, so please enjoy your hot hot spring trip.
