All rooms here are independent guest cottages, so you can spend some time just for the two of you. The only hot springs available are those with indoor baths in the rooms or private hot springs. The private baths are amazing because you can soak in the water while gazing at the starry sky.

I went to Yakushima 10 years ago. It is the largest hotel in Yakushima and has a 33,000m2 garden. When you enter the hotel, you are greeted by a huge Yakusugi tree that reaches up to the second floor. I don't know if it's still there, but when I went to Yakusugi Land by bus, I was surprised that the guests of Iwasaki Hotel were allowed to board even when it wasn't a bus stop, and when we came across a deer in the mountains on the way, the bus stopped and we had time to take photos. It was a wonderful trip.

This is a lodging facility in Yufuin Onsen where all rooms have indoor baths with natural hot spring water. It is popular with group tours of university students. You can enjoy the natural hot spring water in a rock bath exclusive to your room. As for meals, you cannot eat at the lodging facility, so you will have to use a nearby restaurant.

Kagoshima Unfortunately, there are no inns that offer a free shuttle bus to Chuo Station. There are even some inns that don't even offer a shuttle bus to Ibusuki Station. Ibusuki Station and Kagoshima Chuo Station can be reached by local train. Not only can you enjoy Ibusuki Onsen the source of spring water in the indoor baths of the large bathhouse and open-air bath where you can look at Kinko Bay from a close distance, but you can also enjoy a sand steam bath (990 yen per bath). In addition, there is a private half bath open-air bath. For dinner, you can choose your main dish + half buffet style, and eat a lot of local dishes. Breakfast is a buffet with sweets and fruits.

The surrounding area is quiet and it is a wonderful inn where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere at the foot of Mt. Yufu. All the rooms are separate independent guest cottages with different concepts, so choosing the right room is the best part of the inn. The rooms also have private baths, so you can maintain a distance from other guests and enjoy a relaxing and private stay without worrying about your surroundings. The food is also delicious, and we especially recommend the Yufuin morning breakfast, which is made with ingredients from Yufuin.

Breakfast is a mini kaiseki course. Whole tomatoes seasoned with bonito and kelp are served with snow crab and kuruma prawns. You can enjoy horse meat nigiri and a small bowl of red beef. All the dishes are delicious and you can feel the inn's commitment. The interior has a Japanese modern feel, and the sofas in the bath area are separated by sliding doors. The hot spring was also very nice with a tatami bath.

Located in the center of Kannawa Onsen, this small, long-established inn has eight rooms and offers hot spring treatments. English is available at this inn, making it suitable for foreigners. You can also enjoy a leisurely soak in the weak sodium chloride 100% natural hot spring from the source. You can enjoy an open-air bath made entirely of cypress and a bath made of natural wood with a high ceiling that gives a sense of openness. As for food, you can enjoy kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with Bungo beef and fresh fish from Beppu Bay. The sashimi of Seki mackerel and Seki horse mackerel is particularly delicious.

This hotel is about 30 minutes by car from Kagoshima Airport, but even if you don't have a car, there is a bus that goes from the airport to the hotel, so it is convenient. You can see Sakurajima from the large observation bath, and the open-air bath also had a great view, allowing you to feel close to nature. There are many types of private baths, so you can enjoy a variety of baths. The shop sells a lot of local alcohol, including the popular Satsuma shochu (you can also sample it), so you're sure to find your favorite shochu!

My recommendation is "Genzo no Yu Naruko Kanko Hotel". The water quality is good even among Naruko Onsen, and the milky white hot spring has three private baths. If you rent a private bath, even your elderly mother can take a bath without worrying. The food, including the finest Sendai beef, is delicious.

"Kumamoto Shunsai no Yado Yutoriro Yamaga" is a recommended inn that offers a day trip plan that includes lunch! For lunch, you can enjoy a delicious Japanese meal that includes pork loin teppanyaki. One drink is also included. The hot spring is rare nationwide, and you can enjoy smooth alkaline water that contains natural radon. You can relax in the open-air bath or large bath.

If you are visiting Tamana Onsen, why not try Shogen Sanso? This hotel is an impressive building with stylish modern architecture, surrounded by a beautiful 4,350m2 Japanese garden. For dinner, you can enjoy kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with local ingredients such as fresh fish from the Ariake Sea and horse meat from Kumamoto, and for breakfast, you can enjoy delicious dishes such as "gojiru," a dish made from mashed soybeans unique to the Tamana region, and "Nankanage," a specialty of the Kumamoto Nankan region.

Ibusuki Onsen Koran no Yu Kinkoro will surely meet your needs. The large public bath offers a great view of Kinko Bay. There is also an open-air bath in the garden. Reservations are required. The open-air bath is a little small, but it is very tasteful and you can relax in it. There is a shochu bar in the hotel, so parents and children can have a great time sipping on potato shochu and a variety of other fine sakes.

This is a hotel where you can enjoy hot spring. It's the best way to enjoy hot spring while watching the sunset! You can see the ocean from the bath. hot spring are rich in ingredients, and as soon as you enter, they softly cling to your skin, and are very smooth, like lotion! They are colorless, but the water quality is different.

I've been there a few times, both for driving from Fukuoka and for a day trip to the baths. (It's a luxury hotel, so it's hard to stay there!) The open-air bath is very spacious, and the mountains spread out in front of you, making Breathtaking view! And after the bath, I recommend the traditional pudding at Cafe BanBan. I go there just for that. The interior is Japanese-style, with a warm wooden feel. The meals use seasonal ingredients, and there is a sunken kotatsu dining area, so I think parents will be happy too.
